i've had glasses since i was in 3rd or 4th grade. my vision without it is awful.
i'd be damned if i had to take them off for ANYTHING. i actually can't see anything that isnt right up against my eyes.
to get an idea, i've got a laptop on my lap and i have chrome open. to see this text, without leaning in, it needs to be zoomed in to max, and even then its still pretty blurry.

I have glasses. I'm pretty blind, but if I had to I could make it a day without them. As long as there was no driving involved. I wear contacts though, they make me feel a WHOLE lot better because nothing is obstructing my view.
I sleep with my older pair of glasses on. Because I hate not being able to see in the middle of the night, just in case something happens.

I've had glasses since 3rd grade I want to say, and got contacts when I was in middle school in hopes that it would help improve my eye sight (which in some cases using contacts over glasses helps either stop or at least decrease the chances of a child's eyesight from worsening or so I've heard).
I still wear glasses on occasion though, but I personally prefer contacts.

I've worn glasses since the 4th grade and I'm pretty sure I have permanent indentations in my nose. I cannot take them off if I wish to see anything past about a foot away from my face.
I might get contacts soon though, but I need to get custom-fit ones because of my astigmatism, and I can't see the stuff on my phone screen with normal ones. Yay. more expensive. I still don't know tho, I look gross w/o glasses oof.

I do! My eyes were fine until the age of ... 13? 14? I started noticing that my vision was kinda blurry when I was trying to see things that were a little farther away and even had trouble recognizing faces because they were just blurry smudges to me. I've had three different glasses by now and my eyes will likely get even worse from here on out, at least that's what I was told. I'll probs need new glasses in one to two years if I'm really unlucky.
But yeah, wearing glasses for the first time is so weird! Suddenly you're able to see so many more details!

i got glasses three years ago, i think? my eyesight was pretty alright but i still needed them. since then i've gotten to the point where i can't see much without them, had to get the lenses changed once and i'll have to do that again to be able to actually see WITH glasses cuz my eyesight worsened pretty quickly

I think I got mine when I was 10 or 11? I don't really remember, I'm in my early 30s now.
I just remember thinking "WOAH, you mean you're supposed to be able to see individual leaves on a tree!?" too so I probably needed glasses a few years before I got them.
I couldn't even function without them now, I'm actually legally blind when I'm not wearing them after a detached retina in 2013. I had successful surgery to repair it but my vision is still pretty bad in that eye.

Yup. Started wearing (tinted) glasses when I was 15 to help with headaches and irritation I got from bright lights and fluorescent lights, but now I can't see things in the distance all too well, so they've got prescription in them.

Yeah, I wear glasses. Although they look like sunglasses when I wear them and they are tinted since my eyes are really sensitive to the sun, I also feel the same way when everything around me looks SO clear!~
