I've been writing since I was 7 years old. They were crappy picture books. I began writing chapter books at 10 or 11 and fan fiction at 12. I stopped writing fan fiction at 15 (Now I'm 20. I went through a few years of writers block).
I mainly write realistic, clean romance stories. I also have an idea for a clean fantasy-romance book but I'm a bit stuck >.> The fantasy-romance book I want to get published (through self-publishing on Amazon Kindle).

I used to write a bit as a kid, similar to how kids will doodle. Small stories and fanfics and whatnot, sometimes published to websites where no one saw it heh. Recently I've been wanting to get more serious about it and try writing a novel or some publishable short stories. Unfortunately I've been struggling to come up with a story I like enough to want to dedicate my time to, and I adopted two very energetic kittens that love to sit on my keyboard, so it's been slow going.

I'm trying...! I used to RP online as a kid but I wasn't very good at it. Now I'm trying to do writing for comics! I wish I had done a lot of writing as early as you lD

I really enjoy world building.
I like being able to create my environment and characters in a somewhat separate world or universe and I find that makes it easy to set up plots. I never really liked to RP but I do really enjoy reading a lot of high fantasy and so I draw inspiration from things like the Stormlight Archives or A Song of Ice and Fire. The world building comes a bit more naturally than the writing does so it's a bit of a work in progress for me.
I also wish I started working on writing in general sooner. I was more of a theater kid in school and never really thought of writing as an outlet for ideas that I had. I think learning to write for myself and not necessarily for lots of people to read was a huge step for me in being able to open up to more ideas.

I've been writing stories since I can write, and before that I always told them to other people or just thought them up.
I've become more serious now and am progressing fast on a book I'm writing (320 pages now). Bad part is that now the story has finished, I've got to check everything for strange sentences and such XP
The book is all fantasy, with things like controlling elements and dragons and species I've invented in that world.
It's a book for children how do you expect me to write an adults book when I'm not even and adult myself yet but I don't know if I'll publish it...
It started out as an assignment for school, but it grew bigger and bigger and is a hobby of mine now, but every single teacher who read some of it, even after a single page, said I should publish it...
Not that I know how or something, I'll figure that out once I decide to do so, but it just feels weird to have other people read your book.
Same when I'm writing and somebody is curious and wants to read what I'm typing. I just say something like "go away" because I don't want anyone to read it...

Though I'm not super amazing at writing, I enjoy it a lot. I'm actually working on some characters for my current project right now. I have some plot twists planned, some characters I'm planning to introduce... Usually I don't actually plan either, my writing style is usually to just make it up as I go along. I'm really excited for my current story (I'm even working on a world map, since it doesn't take place on Earth.)
I've been writing for as long as I can remember (And wow have I improved! Looking back at my older stories is just cringey honestly... I can't believe I wrote some of that stuff!). I've always loved it, though I don't usually get far in my stories. Whoops, I just get so many ideas it's hard to stay focused on just one.

i'm a writer! ... when the mood strikes me. (which is, honestly, not as often as i'd like it to, especially considering i have a fic i want to finish and can't bring myself to string together in any legible manner :/)
i've been writing since i was little, probably around the time i could hold a pencil. nothing really came of it back then (i still remember a short story i tried to write / draw when i was a kid, something or other about a ghost boy who lost all his friends somehow) and it was just one of those things i did without really thinking because my imagination would just run rampant lol

I used to write a lot but only ever finished one thing and hated it maybe 3 days after that. Now I'm trying to slowly get back at the story I've had in my head for like 7 years (it started as a very different setting). Then depression and college hit me hard, I've lost my passion for it, now I've restarted again (for the third time) and it's going slowly because I don't want to make the same mistake and hate my writing as soon as I finish it.
I've been thinking about it for so long and it finally it has a setting (I even made a list of chronologically occurring events) and a name lol.
It's fantasy/adventure with unlikely friendship developing (and staying as "friendship" because as an ace person I'm so sick of romance being the central part of a story). It's kinda about a thief who doesn't want to be a thief, a princess who didn't want to be a princess, and a knight who only ever wanted to be a knight.
If someone wants to exchange stories or give feedback, you can hmu at discord.

ToonKuriboh do you find making it up as you go works for you?
I only ask because I had a story I wrote for NaNo WriMo a few years back, and while I like some of the ideas of it, there are definitely entire sections that need to go out the window, and I feel as though it would have been much approved if I hadn't been going in without a plan. But then again, any time I try to come up with the perfect plan I never get around to writing. Sigh.

I'm a writer too (ish)! I set myself a challenge to write every day for the ~250 days leading up to the first Avengers movie. And I did really good, got a shorter story and a longer story (to be clear, one was like 70,000 words, and the other was 180,000, so neither was a "short story.') finished, with a "The End" and everything. But I have the hardest time going back to edit. I basically get overwhelmed by how much work there is, and I know I should just rewrite entire sections but then I worry about how long it'll take and whether that means other parts of the story won't make sense. pretty sure that's just fear keeping me from doing what I love. Some day I'll get back into it
