"The events of this book take place in the present(ish) time. Oasis has been dead for ~30ish years now.
The people on the cover are not the people who killed her, Ivy (who is on this cover just don't know who) is the daughter of the guy who killed Oasis.

Tui read chapter 3 to us at the meetup, and it was about Ivy who is the daughter of the Dragonslayer who slew Oasis and how Ivy is like a celebrity because of her father and how he keeps the tail tip of Oasis in a glass case in their living room."

Personally I'm not very excited tbh, I love this series because it's about dragons, without humans. Suddenly making a book based off of them takes away from that I feel. There are enough books about humans that have dragons in them and not enough books about dragons that don't focus on the humans.

I mean I'll still read it, but yeah.

@Witheredwyvern06 Yeah! It’s about the scavenger that killed the Sandwing queen and set off the whole war. I think it’ll be interesting to finally see the humans and their way of life in a dragon dominated world
