This program was coded through Visual Basic, and went through a lot of rigorous testing to make sure it doesn't break upon use. :P This program simply converts inputted data into BBCode text, and does not modify the site, download assets, or otherwise interact with the site in any way. ------------------------- [LIST] [*]Because I paid my boyfriend in artwork, this app is free for everyone to use! If you do wish to donate, seafood is always nice, to thank the dragons I breed to make this app a necessity. :P [*]If you'd like to be pinged for future updates, please let me know! However, it's also included here. :P[/center] -------------------- [b]PREREQUISITSE[/b] None! This program runs on Visual Basic. Even a potato could run this. [b]INSTALLING[/b] Just slap it on the desktop, and you're good to go. This program will export the text files onto the desktop (future changes may be made to allow for a general folder to be made for this). [b][color=red]WARNING![/color][/b] Your antivirus may block this program from exporting files to the desktop (which is a good thing, but you want to use this, yes?). Please whitelist this program in your antivirus to export the BBCode. (BitDefender kept throwing errors until I did this). You may have to re-whitelist this with every update. Chrome or Firefox may ask if you want to keep this program. Click Keep. Windows Defender may ask you if you want to run this program. Go ahead and do so; it's safe! You may also have to run this program as an Administrator. (This has not been tested otherwise) [b]USING THIS PROGRAM[/b] This program only needs your input; it will fill in the blanks in the code, and export a text document so you can simply copy and paste said BBCode into the forums. This program ALSO determines a dragon's color combos automatically (XXX, XXY, XYZ, XYY, etc). Nifty! [LIST] [*] Name: The dragon's name.(it will also save the text file under this name). [*] Pair Name: Pair name, if applicable. Will be filled into the quote. [*] Adult image URL: This link MUST END IN .PNG. Or else you will receive error. [*] Baby Dragon Thumbnail: This can be obtained by[b] right-clicking the dragon's picture in your lair[/b], copying and pasting it into the box, and removing everything after the .png. If you choose not to include a baby png, it will put Salt in its place, rendering the link unclickable. (in the future, the dragon's Flight may also serve as an alternative to this. I Just like salt.) [*] Lair ID: Your lair ID. [*] Dragon ID: The dragon's ID. [*] Treasure/Gems: The price in Treasure and Gems. Whole numbers only; anything not a number will throw an error. (putting kt or g is not necessary, as it is already coded in) [*] Colors, Genes, Gender, Elemental Flight, Eye Type: Self-explanatory. Everything is in FR order. [/LIST] Once you're done, hit the Export button at the bottom. It will export a text document into the folder the program is located in with the dragon's name. Simply open the document, copy the code, and paste it into the forums! Easy peasy. [b]FOR MAC USERS[/b]: You will have to use Wine, a program that allows you to run .exe files on your Mac. Unfortunately, at this time this is the only way to run this program, but otherwise it will run just like on PC (Thanks to @missnanners!)

A: make sure your antivirus is allowing this program. Failing that, ensure that you are running the program in Administrative Mode. Q: Where did it save the code? A: Right now, everything saves to the desktop. In future updates, we might change it to let you save to a folder. :3 Q: It says I have an error! A: Please make sure your images end in .png (beacuse that's what FR uses for its image, so sorry .jpeg users :P) by deleting any excess text after that. A: I run two monitors, and usually I have a video going on on my second monitor. It was just easier to do it this way. A: The (current) Patriarch and Matriarch of the Gravy Clan, Biscuits and Sausage. They're part of my usernamesake. I love Gravy. Q: Will you make this a website/mobile app/for MAC/Linux/etc? A: Probably not. I'm already busting the bank hosting my own website, we're a Windows household, and there's no way we're making an iOS app. In fact, EternalJedi doesn't know how to code for anything else but Windows, and it's above his pay grade to code for android. XD That being said, if for whatever reason one of decides to learn another programming language, we MIGHT make a mobile app for Android (sorry iOS users, but the hoops you gotta jump through to make an Apple app is above our paygrade XD). Congratulations on the public release!

I enjoyed testing the program. It's a breeze to use, and it is sure to take a lot of the effort out of running a hatchery that may make it seem like an unapproachable chore. You've done a wonderful thing for the community~

We might be able to export it into a MAC format for you and other mac users; we'll have to look into it I know nothing about macs and exporting things into that format so a bit of research is necessary lol

UPDATED!

We've updated it to include Tapir and Striation. The next update will have some very nice QOL changes and graphics and it'll be super pretty.... but only when Wasp comes out. :P
