Title: Keep it descriptive but eye catching! Example: Gen1: Rare color Pastel

Thread Post 1:
A little blurb about why you are selling the dragon usually goes at the start here! Sometimes people use colors to distinguish things like this
Code:
[color=purple]words here[/color]

HERE IS YOUR DRAGON. Use the code.. THE ENTIRE HIGHLIGHTED CODE to link the dragon. Here is what to copy from your dragon to the forum:
5hFhitw.png

Some people then put example scrys after that (helpful but not necessary).. to do this go to the scrying workshop and copy your dragon's ID! Then mess around with the genes.. press "Copy image location" then add .png to the end of it and put it in this code.
Code:
[img]COPIED IMAGE LOCATION.png[/img]

Next your code below the picture should read:
"SB:
MI:
CB:
AB:
I accept gems @ 1:rate here
END DATE is month/day at 18:00 FR time"
Starting bid is the absolutely LOWEST you will go. MI is the minimum increment. I usually like to do 10kT as my MI:) CB (which I like to keep bolded) is the current bid for the dragon. AB is autobuy. This is the price at which you will end the auction early. Even if you don't want to put an autobuy, put "AB: N/A" otherwise people will continuously ask you if you have an AB.

Alright then two last things on the first post.. SNIPE GUARD. You don't have one, but many people will not bid on your auction if you decline one. Snipe guards stop people from playing ebay where they bid last second. How they work is you set an activation length. I like to do one hour. So say your auction end time is 18:00 on 11/28. Someone bids at 16:50 and then no one bids? Then it still ends at 18:00. However, say someone comes along and bids at 17:50.. the new end time is 18:50. If someone then comes along at 18:25 and bids, the time is once again extended, this time to 19:25 and so on and so forth.

Last section on the first post is only necessary if you accept items and not just treasure/gems. Just say "These are the items I'm willing to take as partial bid" then list them.. or if you don't want to accept any items, put near your treasure/gem conversion "Gems/Treasures only, no items accepted"

Thread Post 2:
LASTLY!!!! Ping what ever group is applicable in the SECOND post. If you are auctioning, you probably have either a gen1 or an oldie. Please heed the special listings in the groups!
Gen1 Pinglist: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1KvbTEQYMXYyZVZCOnzAARDVVa7c1TMFGxDEbXJ0uo1g/edit#gid=532639611

Oldie pinglist: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1MVep00Xp5BuaXRdcTIGooJflgI41Y-xqd7DAhiMcISA/edit#gid=815004173&vpid=A1

EDIT: My suggested auction length is no less than 3 days, no more than a week.. you want to give bidders enough time to liquidate for funds if they need but little enough time that they don't forget about your auction or become less enthused by it!

@Candor, thanks for this! Could you explain how the ping lists work? I'm trying to set up my first auction, but I'm not sure on that bit.

@Lyrilla No problem! How they work is that people will elect to put themselves on those lists specifically to be pinged for auctions or certain sales events. So when you go to make your auction you ping them based on the section they put themselves under. For example, the gen1 pinglist has general (which is for everything) then sales.. if your sale is in auction, make sure to edit out anyone who has in parenthesis "no auctions". The oldies list is based on ID number, so make sure to check what section your dragon fits under (don't ping the 5 digit users if your dragon's number is #345678, only ping the 6 digits for example). Does that make sense?

@Lyrilla Well, the direct lists that you copy when pinging for an auction/sale are from those linked above in the guide! If you want to JOIN the lists, the official group pages are http://www1.flightrising.com/forums/drs/1026268 here for gen1s and http://www1.flightrising.com/forums/drs/1162110 here for old dragons:)

@SempiternalSky those are just the most common ones! I know there is a deity pinglist run by miloki, a tron one I think?, and a snowbelly one at least but I do not have the links for them (nor, with the exception of miloki's, do I know if they are still active!) But you could probably try to check Google.
