How to use a solo-leveler from Kedreeva!
If you have rented or purchased a solo-leveler dragon from me (one with STR 119, not a mire-flyer with STR 117), you may be wondering how to effectively use it in the Coliseum. I'll keep the explanation as short as possible!
You should begin a leveling run by entering The Mire (update: or the Ghostlight Ruins, post-split) with the solo-leveler (SL) and 2 dragons you would like to level. You can level them for exalt or for keeps. The level of the 2 lowbies does not matter. If they "die" it doesn't matter. As long as your SL has health and breath, you can continue fighting- the lowbies will "revive" with a small amount of health. They are effectively there to occasionally soak damage, nothing more.
Until you learn how to handle the SL effectively, if you enter The Mire and you get more than 2 opponents for your first fight, refresh the page and try again. You should aim for 2 slow casters (like 2 ice shellions or two plague/shadow croakers) or two easy melee (like 2 neutral podids or 2 neutral shellions) or a mix of these. This will prevent you from taking too much damage before you're able to use Eliminate. (Once you have learned your SL better, you may be able to take 3 slow casters for a first battle, or even 2 slow melee and a caster).
Your first move in any fight should always be to have your SL cast Rally on themself to increase their damage done. In the first round of fighting, you will have to scratch down all the enemies. Once you have built up enough breath, at the start of new fights you will be able to cast Rally (just once per fight) and then use Eliminate, which will one-shot any opponent in the Mire (except the new giant toads, obviously). Post-updates of the Mire becoming an all-L24 zone, this is still true.
Please note: If you are using a MIRE-FLYER, which is different than a solo-leveler, you will not (before or after eliminte) ever be able to 1-shot the mossy cerdae or brilliant psywurms. You will need to scratch+elimintate them every time.
Prioritize the melee damage opponents first, as they deal damage every turn. The wind Salve Kamaitachis and Wetland Unicorns heal and cast a damage-reducing spell, so kill them before they can cast (not necessarily FIRST, but definitely before they can cast).
A first fight with two opponents will be plain old scratching everything down. A first fight with 3 opponents should be rally + scratchx3 to your prioritized opponent, 1 scratch to each of the remaining 2 opponents, and then 1 unrallied eliminate to each.
On the left hand side, where the next turns display, you should be able to tell when you will have an "extra" turn- ie, if you only have 1 opponent left but you have 2 turns in a row, or if you have a caster that hasn't used meditate yet (or a caster who just cast an attack and thus will be forced to use meditate next round). Use those turns to cast scratch, and build up a reservoir of breath. You can then also use these "extra" turns to cast Sap, which will return a percentage of the damage dealt as health to your SL. The left hand side "next turn" column should also help you to prioritize your opponents, since you can eliminate who will be attacking next and sometimes 'gain' an extra turn by doing so.
If you are leveling 'keeper' dragons (ie your own dragons toward Level 25), you will want to equip one (and only one) Ambush stone to one of them as soon as possible. This will give your SL an extra turn at the start of the fight without inserting time-wasting turns for your lowbies. If you plan to take them to 25 and tincture them, feel free to assign stats to VIT to help them survive a little longer in the first fight.
If you have any other questions or want clarifications, let me know!
