I'm planning on doing new lore but currently mine is the exalted are visitors sucked through a strange portal of sorts that popped up as a result of some typical arcane experiments that apparently went wrong (or maybe they didnt...). None of the clan knows what happens to them after that though apart from none of them return, so they assume its bad. The exalts both go through deliberately as "explorers" or accidentally because they haven't given it a wide enough berth and it sucks them in.
