@arcaneidolriots Ah almost everyone I know makes their money from fodder dragons. Personally I can't do that, I'm a casual player and I would just not have the time to train them all to a level that would be worth exalting for. I could breed, but again, even that seems slow.

I'm more into brewing, make 3/4 600g/200000t items per month, and that's were most my money comes from. Sure, its luck based, but I find it more easy to just dump some stuff in the brew 6/7 times a day, than having to spend 3/4 hours in the coli.

Long live the hibernal then at least? Saves us precious lair space especially if you have many projects or have a hatchery.

@Trix I invested a lot in skins...Sitting in my hoard for 3 years, barely worth a thing even now :'D. I don't even use event skins anymore, just user made ones from their shops. So I often give them away for free, or just sell them in case I am desperate for money and no longer care how low the price is.

@Lostdaydreams Oh, I love skins and accents though. And those festival chests make terrific raffle prizes. If you wait to buy them in case the price goes down, they might not be available. I try to get a little of everything during a festival and extras of what I like best. That way even if the value tanks I enjoy the stuff I ended up with.

@Lostdaydreams, you actually don't even need to train the fodder yourself, unless you want a bigger profit. Before the HD, hatchling fodder was around 4-4.5kT and adults sold for 7kT. Just from buying hatchling fodder and holding onto them until they were adults and then reselling them, you could earn an average of 3kT per fodder.

Now that doesn't sound like a lot, but if you have, say, 150 lair spaces dedicated to fodder, you would turn a profit of 450kT once all 150 dragons were sold. And fodder does sell consistently, that's an easy 450kT every week.

Of course with the HD release, fodder prices have gone up (because everyone has a lot more space to store hatchlings and, better yet, not have to feed them), so the average profit per fodder from hatchling to adult is now about 2kT. Which, again, doesn't sound like a lot, but every little bit helps and does add up over time. If you don't have a lot of time to play FR and you have a ton of lair/HD space you're not doing anything with, flipping fodder is one of the easiest and most hands-off methods of earning a steady income.
