:K The English pronunciation fairly easy to suss; imagine the G said like "giraffe", and break it into two syllables. "jay-oll". It used to be a hard G, like "gift", but softened over time.

...I somehow ended up mentally pronouncing gift with a soft g. Wat. I definitely need more sleep.

Never will I ever see it as jailer. It’s like Django, I know the D is silent, but I will ALWAYS pronounce it as De-Jango in my head when I read it.
Gaelor is just Gay-Lore for me and that is how my brain shall forever know them.

This. My brain will never read Sean as "Shawn" and rendezvous as "rawn-de-voo" and not "Seen" and "re-ven-dus." I'll mentally pronounce Galeor [s]and Coatl and Pthalo[/s] wrong forever.
