Are there any genes you think suit some dragons better than others and are there some genes that just clash with a dragon no matter what?
Laced/Edged looks best on coatls and guardians to me! Mirrors can NOT sport gembond/fact/butterfly for me.

Noxtide looks good on literally any breed except skydancers :<

Bee looks best on skydancers (though I prefer males) but in all honesty bee looks good on every breed. Runes looks amazing on female tundras, gembond looks great on male skydancers (only instance where I'd use gembond, actually!), Ghost looks best on female nocturnes and coatls, and Seraph looks best on coatls.

Iri/all/runes on male Wildclaws is a sinfully perfect combo imo.

Cherub on Spirals/Skydancers
Alloy on PCs (it gets super dark)
Ghost on Spirals/Skydancers/Imperials
Bee on Imperials & Coatls
I could go on forever haha. But like, some genes flow better with their overall shape or shading and it just makes me go all "mmmm, this is neat"

it shows so perfectly but I don't like their neck muscle anatomy so all the lines ruin it a bit for me. If the lines weren't there id have a mono bogsneak capsule lair

Honestly for me, it isn’t breed, it’s color. Some colors look great with some genes, and some... not so much. Breed I see just whatever I choose >:]
