Oh look, it looks like all of us who "coplained" were actually right that 49.8, so almost HALF of what drops is actually familiars. :) Then a 30.4% of apparel. For a total of 80.2%. To all those who said they wish there were statistics so that we would shut up about how horrible notn is, well.... After seeing this pie chart i still think it's been ruined. An event where a breed is supposed to be represented yet 80% plus of the drops is not eggs or noc scrolls.... Yeah. How are we supposed to enjoy that?

I don't think it's just about the scrolls, though, but you do you.

As it stands, they are the most common single item at 61 drops (not including improper recordings), while the second most common single item is at 17 drops. Plus, unhatched eggs appear to drop somewhere around 10-15% of the time (it fluctuates but more data will stabilize this), and while I haven't counted, I don't believe they make up 10-15% of all the possible items. The odds are actually in our favor. Problem is, when we're all hoping for eggs, we lump every other item into one undesirable group, and suddenly it doesn't seem fair.
We tend to see it as
good item vs bad items when it's really more like
good item vs bad item vs bad item vs bad item vs bad item vs bad item...
Still, I get how it's frustrating to be on the low end of the estimate, or lower than the estimate itself. Perhaps drop rates do need to be adjusted, but it seems that we're already given an advantage, though a lot of people feel it isn't enough. Hopefully with more responses we get a better idea of what's going on in those chests.

So you call 5 eggs out of 113 chests (which is what i got) and 4 eggs out of 100 chests (which is what my friend got) LUCKY? And we're just going to ignore the fact that the familiars drop more often than anything else? ....Okay. I think I'm done arguing with people who're just looking to defend the staff for some reason even though something is clearly wrong. Please don't ping me to reply. I'm really just done trying to disagree with people.

Again, I'm very sorry that my message was taken to be offensive, and I can only promise it wasn't meant to be such at all. Having witnessed some of the arguments that have taken place, I don't blame you at all for being tired of it.
The data itself may change over time - some users have opened many chests to get very little from it, so recording everything can help everyone get a better sense of how common drops really are, and prove whether something drops more or less than it seems like it should, or prove that the odds themselves aren't equal. Either way, I wish you the best of luck.
