@Greenwolfkate And how long is considered "a timely fashion"? (quote from OP) Because I need to know whether to keep my lights 'On' all the times when I occasionally drop in (so, e.g. once every half-hour, once every hour maybe) or only when I'm actually actively on flight rising and can get a nicely-written response out within fifteen minutes of receiving a trick-or-treater. (15 minutes to allow time for writing ;) )

The door is mahogany and large enough for an imperial, but has smaller doors throughout it for smaller dragons. There is not a long walk/flight to get to my lair after you come to the Observatory, as the door marks the start of the cave, hence my lair c:

[b]Note:[/b] My lair is in the deeps of the Sea of a Thousand Currents. Your dragon will be able to visit due to some sort of magical or technological device. (This is where you can be really fun. I've seen bubbles/ headbubbles , water-breathing potions, etc.). The way to the lair is lit dimly by spaced out glowing jellyfish. And the 'door' is a large stone slab.
