You noticed it too?? That's the thread that's got me wondering wth it went!
Mhm. It even started with a proposal for staff appreciation day, but, I dont know at this point to be fair.

RIGHT! I was so excited for a place for this constructive talking! People were feeling comfortable where they were able to breathe for a minute and I've been stalking it all day and now it's just..
Gone.
I don't know who took my FR staff but I want the real ones back now. Any day. Please. Where is the transparency? The kindness? The communication? *curls in a ball*

I just think all feedback, as long as its civil, should be allowed. Pruning the threads so its a nice display of what is wanted, just looks shady.

Staff are likely trying to curtail the entire forum being open letters - the volume of replies is likely beyond their ability to moderate effectively. It's a unique situation putting the mod team beyond its capacity. Heck there might only be one or two mods on right now trying to control the situation whilst waiting for admin or higher ups for a reply to try and formally reply.
Esp considering how several of the threads went hostile over the weekend it stands to reason that they are shutting down threads in advance of that happening right now; even if they are starting off civil.

I am so disgusted with the staff right now. I wan't before but I am now. I will no longer be purchasing gems and I have turned my ad blocker back on.
I don't know how else to get my point across :/

Shutting down threads in advance is EXACTLY how you get people angry. No one likes getting silenced. Thread closing because "it's getting out of hand" is okay, the posts are still there, nuking the thread removes its existence unless you took screenshots and you have no idea if they even read *anything* there. It's not very confidence inspiring.

i was typing up a nice reply to that thread and it was deleted before i could hit post
idk why that one was deleted bc it seemed pretty positive compared to a lot that are also getting deleted?

Aye but with the number of threads it would fast have the site looking like a warzone.
I agree that its not ideal, but I can sympathise with a mod team caught in the middle being overwhelmed by a membership operating on anger and emotion more than reason and patience.
Also don't forget FR is typically pretty chill and friendly - this is not regular so chances are there's pressure on teh mod team way beyond what they are used to dealing with. It's likely as much a learning curve for them tackling this at the same time as its a huge body of drama.

Honestly, I'd prefer to see all sorts of threads laid bare, even if it looks like a "warzone", as opposed to all the "look at my meme uwu" stuff that remains.

I mean.. this whole avalanche of repeat posts would have been easily prevented with even a one sentence message from any of them. Even if vague like "We know you aren't happy, we'll look into it".
But instead like.. leave everything up for speculation? everyone loves conspiracy theories and all sorts of stories, this is FR, it was prone to happen.

*hugs tight* I'm so sorry. You can send it to me in a PM if you still want to be heard? Because I know the feel and I just... I don't know. I need everyone to have burnt cookies and hot chocolate and just...
I don't know. /sigh

Fighting is bad, but again, just close with a stern warning to stop arguing. No need to remove the non-FR inappropriate posts from the site altogether.
