What do some of you remember as being "new" when you joined? What genes were out and what dragons were super exciting?
For example: I remember when coatls were first released. My very first coatl was basic/stripes/basic and she cost 60kT! Her only non-exalted descendent (Leidri) is still in my lair with the same gene combo
Only 5 primary genes existed: basic, iridescent, tiger, clown, and speckle. The secondaries were the corresponding five plus seraph.
The only tertiaries were UB, crackle, gembond, and circuit.

Imperials and the madness of the launch days (wasn't here for the beta). Back then the auction house was far less full and the number of dragons very low. Imperials were super rare and high priced and went up and up as demand rose faster than eggs could hatch.
I also recall seeing the market crash a bit once the supply started to rise past the demand. That said I've taken several big breaks so missed a lot of stuff being added ot the game - so there's a lot that's new to me right now.

I think scatterscrolls were the newest hype thing to come out when I joined. Before that, there wasn't any real need for people to ever buy gems the price for selling gems for treasure was SO LOW before scatters came out.
...also scatters came out a week after I had exalted my progen ;_;
