Does anyone else have lore that does not fit in with the main FR lore?
I haven't been a lore person, but I suddenly had this idea of my clan. But the idea involves them being on their own planet, a people half from the army of good and half from the army of evil. Just seeking peace and escaping the never ending war.
I like the idea, but it means that my dragons no longer fit in with the main FR story. Has anyone else done that?

A lot of people disregard the FR lore. Basically, a lot of people are loose constructionists, anything that isn't explicitly banned, you can go ahead with. I myself try to simply build off of the FR official lore with my own, fleshing out any of the holes left in the lore myself.

That's good to know. Yes, before, what lore I had was based around the official lore. But given that my dragons are mostly named after characters that are either heroes or villains, I suddenly thought it would be cool if they actually were that in my lore.

I wouldn't say my lore explicitly goes against canon lore (there's nothing in there saying faes can't form a magically-based hive mind), but I'm pretty sure it wasn't intended to be on the books regardless. An idea like yours would obviously clash with onsite lore, but plenty of people have lairs full of fandragons and what have you, so just do whatever sounds most fun to you.
Though I have to wonder what the motivation is behind them needing to be on a separate world and how the basic idea couldn't fit into Sornieth as is?

If you work it in hard enough you can actually get anything to fit in cannon.

I guess I just liked the idea of this huge, grand war covering the whole universe, and of my clan wanting to escape it. I'm a nerd, and I like the big picture idea.
