SO... I LOVE Lore. Like. LOVE IT. That being said... I have SO many Dragons now I'm really running out of ideas.
With that, I have turned to you, my dear Flight Rising people who are super awesome and probably have a lot of ideas!
GIVE ME ALL THE LORE IDEAS, THE MORE CREATIVE THE BETTER.
Here's a few examples of Jobs/Roles that I have already:
- Warrior
- Astronomer
- Philosopher
- Alchemist
- Shade-Hunter
- Inventor
And a few examples of Backgrounds I've written:
- Was found abandoned as a Hatchling
- Came to be apprentices/learn a trade
- Joined because fell in love with existing member
- Joined just because wanted to
Usually I'm pretty good with coming up with ideas for these sorts of things, but I realized it's only if it's for others and not myself, so help is appreciated. XD
Do kind of mundane jobs! For example:

Painter
Treasurer
Scribe
Medic/Doctor/Herbalist
Or secondary-type things!
Familliar tamer
Therapist
Mercenary
As for backgrounds, do more intense things!
A runaway from something/someone that wants to kill them
Some sort of other being hiding in your clan
An accidental criminal trying to hide
Someone who always wanted to live in your flight
Or something else! Just go crazy with it!

Something I like is that the dragon got there on accident. Like a riptide or a tornado tore them away from their old home and dropped them on your doorstep.

I have a Recorder, a Counselor, a Matriarch, and..... a bunch of artists. The rest are all deadwights. Oh, the Bogsneak boys are scouts, though their lore isn't done yet.

I actually have a dragon who broke a vace and is now a dancer in the clan so she can pay it back... which I only realized the next day sounded eerily like Ouran High School Host Club xD
When I was in light, one member actually travelled there in order to learn about the curse that was on him in hopes of breaking it
Two of my members were once part of a travelling caravan, but it was attacked and left the group scattered. They've joined the clan in hopes that some day a caravan of familiar dragons will come through
Otherwise, members of my clan serve as
- Tactitians
- Storytellers
- Dancers/Entertainers
- Scavengers
- Librarians
- Archivists
- Healers
- Merchants

Personally, merchants, artisans, and crafts-dragons are my best friends when writing lore. You could create anything from a bee-keeper to a wreath-maker. Carpenters, spectacle-makers, armorers, clothiers, toy makers, fortune-tellers, herbalists, spice vendors, skinners, trappers, fisherman, electricians, and omg the list goes on forever.

I have a snapper couple that joined the nest after seeing a couple of hatchlings more-or-less abandoned because there weren't any dedicated caretakers, and they got so worried about it that they offered to join. These two also serve as informal clan historians.
I also have one dragon who was original a lone scavenger, lost a fight with a member of my clan over an area of land, but ultimately decided to ally with the clan instead of fighting.
