Flight Rising Discussion

Goal for the week is to finally revamp the bios of all the permies on my second page! Goal next week... code them, probably? XD So far, I've done these: Viper, an acquisition from my second NOTN, the first GenOne I gened myself ^_^ She's definitely not planning a rebellion against all dragonkind. I totally did not forget about him until a couple of days ago. [columns] Once a member of the clan military, Mythic has resigned himself to more peaceful things after an accident left him blind and incapable of fight - which is fine with him, because flying takes too much energy anyway. He is still able to sense light and darkness, and with a bit of magic he can see images in his mind, so being incapacitated is really just an excuse for him to lay around and eat without doing any actual work. He's useless to the point that you can't even use him as a paperweight, because he'd just start sobbing and ruin your paperwork. Some dragons leave him be purely out of pity, other dragons keep him around as a convenient test subject friend. Whatever the case, it's not like letting him stay is hurting anyone, so nobody's felt inclined to boot him yet. [/columns] Haukin, the first XXX dragon I hatched myself, has a skin because I hate facet. He's my poor, overworked noodle who wonders what he did in his past life to deserve such torment. [columns] If you see something new and improved in the lair, it's probably thanks to this dude. Having unfortunately shown his penchant with dealing with paperwork and getting things done at an early age, he now does all of the real leaders' work. Sometimes he regrets this. On the other hand, it's really nice knowing you can make additions to the leaders' plans without anyone ever suspecting you. THE NEW GENES ARE SO GOOD.

I'm either gunna make new bio coding or maybe shift the character page I already have? Add a little blurb for each character. WE'LL SEE.

I probably won't have time today but if I do (or maybe this weekend) I might try and get something down for my unnamed spooky Fae. Who also may get Noxtide at some point, but I haven't decided yet... I'll probably have to pass from this lore day, as I'm receiving dragons for Plague's festival push! (I love being a receiver almost as much as I love writing lore about my exaltees)

But still, I'll try to think about my PupScout here, trying to develop a realistic and consistent personality for her, as I'm not satisfied with the lore based explanation I've come with (obvious answer: trauma). Basically she's an adventurous escapist who tries to be as bad and useless as possible in her duties, in an attempt to be expelled from the clan, but that is too simple and straightforward, she must be more than just a traumatized hatchling to explain how and why she is developing a life around that objective.

Why after all of its incompetence she hasn't been expelled yet? Why doesn't she just leave the lair? How deep/utopic are her reasons and dreams? How does she feel in an ordinary day? I need to explain all of that without writing a wall of text x'D

So... I'll be thinking about it, I guess, as long as some bad things currently happening irl let me xD

Next Lore Whining Day would have me unable to participate because it's the first day of LvI and I'm one of the vanguard receivers for the #nightshift in Lightning so... Maybe when I'm not so busy exalting things to Bossdad I'll dash off a few notes here and there. But for today? Ahoy! While I 'avna seen too many with th' new genes I did take quite a fancy t' 'em. Th' pattern be int'restin 'n primal. As fer me work fer th' day... Well in-between trick'r treatin' I 'ave been workin' on biographies. Th' event actu'lly ended up with me lass walkin' away with more'n one new sailor aboard me ship so I've got more crew t' develop biographies fer! [center]i've been gone so long i forgot about this. my lore plan is to work more on the bios for these two and this other dragon if I can get him since my clan is currently in the need of saving, and the 3 are going to be the ones to do it. Now that I have my computer back, once class is over, I'm going to study for around an hour or two, then finish my wishlist and head straight to lore!

I plan on working on lore for my progens AFTER I finish geneing them up, so I'll just skip them for now! I'm going to kick some out, and then rearrange my lair a bit.

Since it's spooky time, for now, I'll work on the lore for the villains and a few of the more mysterious dergs in my lair!

I don't care much for Lionfish, but I loooove Noxtide!! It might actually save one of my dragons who I'd have to keep scattering if Constellation doesn't work, mostly because after seeing Starmap on him, his old gene plans look so bland :'D I'm not sure what I wanna work on today?? I'm not feeling super motivated. I guess I'll look through my lair and see who needs work xD Edit: (Also edited the top blob of text to include more stuff, too) If I work on lore today, I'd like to focus on one of these! They are merchants and make honey and jams to sell xD The female does most of the work, while the male is the face of the company.
