As a newbie, I was gifted a very lovely dragon. When I was gifted this dragon, the gifter asked me, "Please do not exalt her, she was gifted to me as a newbie and I'd like to see her continue on." Level 1 dragons, tho, are easy to chew up and exalt when they don't fit your lair, and sometimes newbies forget to make notes as to who gave them what, and what they are supposed to do with it. Then, a friend gifted me a level 25 dragon to help me out with the Coliseum, and that has made all the difference to me. So I decided, before I passed my gifted dragon on, to make her too 'valuable' to exalt. I trained her up, statted and stoned her, and added a great deal of information to her bio, and am passing her on during this registration window (provided a newbie chooses her from @PaladinPrince's tutorial prizes, over in Fire). Her gifter, @Aquari, saw what I was doing, and thought it was a good idea and thought that she'd like to do it too. A few other people have also, and it was suggested that I make it a more public effort, so we could all help each other out in helping out newbies with these Mentor Dragons. Also, if you have a dragon that you have trained up at all, but not all the way to level 25, you may want to add something like below:

I still have levels I can earn. My ideal stats are:
STR 127
QCK 56
AGL 13


You can also add something like this, if your dragon does not have all the stones they need:

@Chantares this is a cool idea! I don't have much time for training, but I'd be willing to donate some dragons!
