I'm super happy with the Q&A format. This is great.
Will FR ever do a premium currency sale, where gems are cheaper than the regular $1:100 (+ bonus)?
Glad that you're happy with the format change! We thought it would be beneficial for the community to have clearer expectations and a cleaner thread to read through.
As for your question, it's always possible that we may have sales here and there, but there aren't any plans for it.

Any plans for a second Crowdfunding project?
We thought our initial Kickstarter went great, and we're really thankful programs like that exist to help projects get up and running. We have no plans at this time for another Kickstarter.

Any plans for physical swag? Plushies, shirts, mousepads, etc.
We're always discussing merchandise options and ideas on the team! However, creating, maintaining, and shipping a stock of physical merchandise is no small undertaking; we would rather focus our efforts on the site itself at this time.

Is there a reason the Coliseum Venues part of the Encyclopedia is being updated in highest-lowest order? This seems counterintuitive to me, since it seems like players would have more lower-level than higher-level dragons. Are you assuming players can intuit the drops from venues they've already been in and want to give them a preview of higher venues?
When the
Coliseum first launched (aka, when the site launched), the enemies and venues available used a lot of loot that was shared across various places on the site, leading to some imbalance. We are working our way through venues to make a lot of the loot only obtainable from defeating enemies there; this increases the value and uniqueness of
Coliseum items. The reason that our articles are coming out in a reverse order is because our newer venues are already built with this balancing in mind, and the information about loot drops in their articles is already accurate.
Since the older venues are going to be receiving balance treatment as well, we will likely wait to publish their corresponding articles so that we're not simply rewriting an article when those changes go through.

What's the criteria for judging skin contests? In particular I'm wondering if these criterias are taken into account and how much they're worth versus other criteria.
-General aesthetics
-Creativity
-Theme fitting
-Practicality
-Entrant being a past skin winner (I sincerely hope this isn't used for judging tho)
The entire staff votes on skins. We take into account the skill of the art, how close they come to the
Flight Rising art style, how closely they adhere to the theme of the holiday, whether or not they follow the skin rules and guidelines, how many of that breed/gender combo there are among the winners, and how creative they are.

I've always been curious about this.
When you put a dragon or item in the AH and it sells, why is there a fee? Where does the treasure go?
Gameplay-wise, the fee is primarily there as a small treasure sink so that everyone who is using the auction house is in turn removing a little bit of treasure from the economy. However, we like to think that
Edgar,
Pearl, and
Spitfire are collecting a nice courier salary for lugging all those goods around!

Where do concerns go? Other than "Contact us", I mean.
Concerns are best communicated to us via
Contact Us, where we can more easily review and document them internally. These are then collected by our Community Manager and brought up in staff discussions.

are there plans, either in the far or relatively near future, for site-wide plots?
Our last major story/plot addition was
Beastclans on the Rise, where we introduced some exciting new lore that moved the
Flight Rising story forward. We would like to continue offering updates like this that evolve the
Flight Rising world.

what's up with logging in? I come to the homepage, I'm logged in, I can get to my inbox just fine... if I click anywhere else, I'm logged out and have to log in again. is that intentional as part of the whole www1 thing? it's incredibly frustrating e-e
So, it's certainly not intentional. It is, however, a side effect. As more parts of
Flight Rising make their optimization transitions, this will hopefully be less and less of a problem.

I keep seing many dragons whose wings are shorter (sometimes drastically shorter) than their bodies. Why do so many dragons have such short wings? Is this intentional, a bug, or just the RNG at work?
This is the RNG at work. It should be noted that "body" includes the length of the dragon's neck and tail as well. Body is measured nose to tailtip, not chest to rump!
