so time has come for me to discuss my vote for @
nerasis
((I find it rather weird how fast others jumped on the train ... more on that later))
((((also why everybody call me combra so often ?? is it the default autocorrect?))))
@Solcie I think you misinterpreted my "trying too hard", i wasn't talking about magy, i was talking about what magy said about morrioghan
So first, there's the things I discussed in one of my earlier posts about how Nera was acting odd in his interactions with magy and how he called out shimmer for a reason that was wishy-washy (had no real meaning) - when i asked him about it, he said he pointed it out as a "note for later", which seems a little strange - if it was merely a note to judge change, then why phrase it in a way that specifically condemns and adds to a sus tunneling on shimmer? The intents don't add up
He didn't really address the fact that I pointed out that he joined in on Magy's false interpretation either, essentially just brushing it off with a "doesn't matter how we start sus, just that sus and discussion happens"

Since it's day 1 we don't really have anything concrete to go on, so picking out smaller details is one of the only options we have. Can't make an omelette without breaking a few eggs, as they say.
@/Comba
You may see questionnaires as inevitable regardless of alignment, but others may view them differently. I'm picking it out because it's an indicator of their playstyle - it's more of a note for later. If they go from acting like a helpful townie to, say, a reckless townie, then that would merit investigation.
As for your mention of me in your reply to Magy - we had a rather intense falling out before I left FR last time, so I wanted to set a friendly precedent for interaction in this game. A fresh start, as it were, so that any negative feelings floating about can be blown away.
I'm open to ideas, which is why I liked the avenue of investigation that Magy seemed to be opening up regarding Shimmer. No matter how they start, avenues lead to other avenues as more and more people get involved. That's how the real meaty discussion kicks off.

Above, bolded are the two previously discussed points.
additionally, while it's true to the idea of d1 lynches, the phrase "gotta break some eggs" seems like a bit of an excuse. More likely than not, a D1 lynch will hit town, but provides useful information. Here, however, it feels like nera is just making an excuse for sussing or lynching town, as though he intends for that to happen. It's not a concrete observation of mine, but pings me off a little.

Perhaps you thought that was subtle..?
I guess I'm just trying to be nice, yanno. I wasn't doing so good mentally when I was last on FR, which was why I left. I've been making an effort to improve myself as a person, and ultimately - this is a game, and games are meant for developing friendships. Plus it's been a while since I last played, so I'm a bit rusty - haven't got into the mindset for scumhunting properly yet.
If you honestly feel that I'm most suspicious then feel free to vote for me, but that's really gonna be a waste of my skills, along with the loss of an innocent town life.
It's coming up to midnight here and I won't be back before rollover, so I'm going to be placing a vote for @/Shimmerwing. They're giving me some confusing vibes, and I believe their death would give us the most information to work with for the future.
If I die, either by lynch or murder, I'm counting on everyone to look into the people who were poking me and avenge my death. But for now, I must sleep. Night night!
First bold - I literally called it a defense post at the top. how is that subtle
Second & third bold - Here, I really hate this. I don't want to be rude to anyone who's been struggling - I know what it's like to be stressed out, break off with friends you've known for years, be too scared of a teacher or project or work that you have to hide, so I know it can hurt to be targeted or have your problems ignored. There wasn't a reason to bring the first half up here - you discussed your cut off with magy as a reason for your polite attitude in your previous post. This, along with the third bold, feels like guilt tripping. Essentially saying "You'll regret it." "I'm just trying to be nice." "You'll feel really bad for killing of a veteran town for lynching me." That's not a defense. It's a fraud tactic.
In your first of the two posts, it's fine - you gave a valid reason for talking oddly politely when I asked about it. Here, it's no longer relevant to that, it's only relevant to the current post, whose main goal is to convince people not to vote for you. You may say "feel free to vote for me", but it's in the same sentence as the second half of the guilt-ing. It's another device to make someone feel bad.
Before I move on, my last thing here is that:
1) The last paragraph of the second quote from Nera is something that most people, like myself, do. Whenever anyone says stuff with that kind of postmortem tone, it's best to ignore it - It's only relevant once the person is actually dead, not before.
Other small notes: Shimmer voted for Nera, one of the people who was sussing her. This is not a typical (wary) scum behavior, since knowingly voting for a town that accused you isn't the best course of action.
on the other hand, @
EccentricElf23 's vote on Nera seems a bit odd. They were the third in a direct chain of three to vote for Nera, and their post explaining why seems to show that they more directly suspect magy, their only reason for voting nera being that he called out MorRioghan for breaking a rule.
Elf said they were wary of being seen as a sheep - most people suggested that they add something else to someone they sus, and since nobody had brought up that yet, it fits in with what we may expect. Odd for anyone else, but not out of place for Elf. If they agreed with other suspicions of Nera, though, it'd have been nice to bring that up.
