Not long after the last event, Fortune calls the contestants together and gives each of them a complimentary ticket to the big circus show tonight! It’s meant to be one of the highlights of the entire carnival, with performers from all over!

[nextcol]The ticket is ivory with a picture of a fae and a griffon on it. It says “Come One, Come All to the Greatest Performance in Sornieth! THE CIRCUS! The best adventure of your life!” The back of the ticket has a few ads on it, for cheap nachos, Coca-Cola, light bulbs, and an opera.
Of course, everyone is planning to go to this grand event, and after wandering the carnival for a few hours, the group shows up at the biggest tent in the festival. It’s striped green and plaid and R&B music plays loudly enough to fill the entire fairgrounds. There are dragons [i]everywhere[/i], going on attractions, riding camels, waiting in line for rides, and all amidst the excitement![/columns]
spacefaerie's [b]Felix[/b] sees someone winning everything. Touhou's [b]Gurasvati[/b] watches another dragon swallowing swords. Delcat's [b]Curio[/b] and ladylilitu's [b]Lili[/b] talk about the ephemeralness of excitement. The smell of ashes! From flames! wafts through the air as salesdragons sell Scorpion Suckers, deep fried ice cream, and unicorn frappe to the crowds.
The contestants make their way through the crowds trying to get to their seats amid the chaos. A pair of Spiral gymnasts tie themselves into a knot with each other and are unable to separate without help. Snivy88's [b]Caelynne[/b] replaces Veracity's [b]Lenai[/b]’s spilled ice cream. yyalls's [b]phaedrus[/b] and perifinite's [b]Ilann[/b] buy some kettle corn, Nanobot87's [b]Iris[/b] and Sylvandyr's [b]Karshal[/b] lay out a blanket on their bench to make it soft and warm. PardonPopplio's [b]Fiorello[/b] whispers something to Fereyik's [b]Kichiro[/b] about Icewarden's ears- “cute or sacred?”
Soon the audience quiets and the salesdragons make their way to the back to count their spoons made of diamond. A hatchling yells out “WOOHOO” before being shushed by its parents. The music goes silent, and then begins again, this time in the Metal variety. A small silver and burning orange fae speckled with flames and wearing a top hat flutters out into the arena.
“Dragons and familiars, hatchlings of all ages! Welcome to the show!” The fae went on to thank the sponsors: Madame Destrea, seer and psychic!, The GREAT and AMAZING acts of FILLY the TIGER!, and Balthazar the Stupendous, and also to talk very briefly about the physics of tightrope walking. Then the acts begin!
Dragons come out wearing clown costumes and masks, riding unicycles while having artists make caricature portrait of them, and paying for expensive food items and games. Tall ridgebacks on stilts walk over the stands, peering down at the people below. A fae and a pearlcatcher are breathing, while several guardians perform a tightrope act while balancing a quill and ink bottle and slippers on their heads.
A guardian then wheels a big cannon out into the center and prepares to launch a snapper into the sky. “Have you ever seen a snapper fly?!” The audience laughs mischievously. “Let’s give our flying snap some encouragement!” Telarin's [b]Stragenkret[/b] screams out “Don't let your dreams be dreams!”, Braixen's [b]Pomona[/b] yells out “You can- most likely, definitely- at least you have a quite high probability of doing it! Yes!”. saphariadragon's [b]Bella[/b] and Frostnite's [b]Frostnip[/b] call "You are in charge of your own life. Don't let others dictate your decisions." in unison.
The snapper is now prepared for launch. The audience counts down, “3! 2! 1!” “Now we eat! Sorry not sorry.” The room erupts into the sounds of lots and lots of screaming (Of fun? Of terror? Who knows, that's part of the fun!) as the snapper flies off into the sky, bursting through the fabric of the tent. What’s this?

The snapper flies back in with the help of… two tiny fae?! So strong! The crowd screams again!
The fae hosting the event returns to announce a brief intermission while they set up the next set of acts. While the audience begins to chatter, a few dragons wheel a large cage covered in a puce sheet into the arena.
Amidst the distractions, mine's [b]Benzaiten[/b] and Mazarine's [b]Cidori[/b] head to the back in order to fly haphazardly across the sky trailing fiery pink glitter. They spot ice axe juggling, and then suspicious people in coats selling... ‘stuff’, and then a pair of dragons bioengineering super-bacteria out behind the tent… A bit unnerved, they go back to their seats.
LightningShatter's [b]Thunderheart[/b] and Tagoniki's [b]Seledia[/b] discuss strategies to win the Balloon and Darts game. PoisonNightshade's [b]Rosemary[/b] buys some potatoes and radioactive juice, but spills them onto Troutfish's [b]Druantia [/b]’s lap. A tiny hatchling tosses a dull knife and it hits SoaringLynx's [b]Meurtre [/b] in the face.
The intermission is over and the lights in the arena go dim. “A terrible beast is here today… a dangerous one… and our brave, brave beast tamer is here to tame it.” A tiny longneck comes out wearing big heavy armor and a fedora and sunglasses. They hold a boulder in one hand and a shoe in the other.
A couple of dragons pull the sheet off the cage, revealing the creature inside. It’s a 3-headed beast with one head of a poison dart frog, one of the amazingly special snowflake urchin, and one of a boolean. It has the tail of a aardvark and the body of a platypus, and while you might think it can’t be real… it is!
safen6000's [b]Theresa[/b] suspects foul experimentation or magic might be at play, but Hanakoto's [b]Capricorn[/b] and Deladria's [b]Roen[/b] are too busy gazing into the creature’s neon paisley eyes to care about such concerns.
The terrible beast is released from the cage and bounds around the arena, threatening to leap up into the stands!! The audience screams! But the longneck warrior is strong and brave and wrangles it back into the cage with displays of eating a big bowl of shaved ice and bribes of cargo shorts and a deep fried bacon wrapped donut.
The beast is wheeled away and a large group of dragons wearing an obviously fake mask and disguise of themselves, because no one would suspect that the guy in a bad clown costume really is a frost delver, come out juggling a cup and a leaf and even peanuts. Other dragons balance jackets on chairs and spin them.
A large imperial starts tossing wet noodles into the crowd. MythicalViper's [b]Kerendia[/b] catches a silver one, while Katsuokai's [b]Unknown[/b] isn’t paying attention and gets hit in the face with one with a blue swirl pattern. BlackJasper's [b]Wilkerson [/b] jumps up and down screaming to be given one, the imp just grins, and then pulls a microwave out of his pocket and chucks that instead.
The imperial then pulls a large quantity of hammers out of his pockets and smiles. The audience screams in fear! He just chuckles. He’s not throwing these at the audience. No, he’s throwing them at other performers. Three other dragons line up in front of the wall. The imp tosses the hammers, just barely missing each performer. Then, he uses the hammers to knock stoves off of another dragon’s head.
When that is finished, another few dragons perform an impressive trapeze act, while clowns perform rock climbing without a harness below. The entire tent is filled with bright lights. A couple of skydancers dance with fire and pencils, a few mirrors jump around on a trampoline while juggling a plastic solo cup and a toothpick, and then, another intermission.
When the show resumes, the fae host himself decides to show off a few magic tricks. First, the other dragons lock him inside a scarf and submerge it in a deep pool of hot apple cider. He is forced to escape, and somehow he does!
For his next act he needs a volunteer! Thace's [b]Ahrima[/b] and pierrct's [b]Pharahn[/b] raise their hands, but no, they were not what he needed. He points to FantasticHaxorus's [b]Ray[/b], who looks around confused. “You there… You are Exactly what I am looking for.”
“Come on now, help me out with my act!” FantasticHaxorus's [b]Ray[/b] trips while trying to get down into the arena.

The host asks the volunteer to climb into a box. They stumble a bit, but manage to get inside. The box is closed, the fae waves his arms around it, and when it opens again, the volunteer is gone! The audience cheers. Lute music plays through the stands. The host waves enthusiastically before dapple-gray silks descend from the sky.
An aerial silk act follows. And soon after that, a ridgeback makes a huge stack of pieces of paper and balances on top of them.
Then it’s time for the final act! Several fae come out, riding very large and very enthusiastic sentient alloys. They do some tricks, some handstands in the saddles and a pillow fight, before the entire show ends with MAGIC!!
There is a musical conclusion where the entire cast sings a classic rock song while bowing, the host thanks everyone for coming to the event, and soon the audience begins to leave.
The teams reconvene outside. browncoatparadox's [b]Til[/b] had a great time, and their favorite part was the beast tamer. Wintaer's [b]Sitarra[/b] liked the aerial silks act.
But then Shleedelie's [b]Mei[/b] notices. “Hey wait, did FantasticHaxorus's [b]Ray[/b] ever come back…?” The contestants look around a bit but… no… there’s no sign of them.
It’s late, there’s a lot of chaos by now, and surely their teammate can hold their own… Perhaps they made friends with the performers… The team looks around confused for a bit and decides to head back to sleep so that they are prepared for the next day’s challenge.
It snows that night.

spacefaerie's Felix sees someone winning everything. Touhou's Gurasvati watches another dragon swallowing swords. Delcat's Curio and ladylilitu's Lili talk about the ephemeralness of excitement. The smell of ashes! From flames! wafts through the air as salesdragons sell Scorpion Suckers, deep fried ice cream, and unicorn frappe to the crowds.
The contestants make their way through the crowds trying to get to their seats amid the chaos. A pair of Spiral gymnasts tie themselves into a knot with each other and are unable to separate without help. Snivy88's Caelynne replaces Veracity's Lenai’s spilled ice cream. yyalls's phaedrus and perifinite's Ilann buy some kettle corn, Nanobot87's Iris and Sylvandyr's Karshal lay out a blanket on their bench to make it soft and warm. PardonPopplio's Fiorello whispers something to Fereyik's Kichiro about Icewarden's ears- “cute or sacred?”
Soon the audience quiets and the salesdragons make their way to the back to count their spoons made of diamond. A hatchling yells out “WOOHOO” before being shushed by its parents. The music goes silent, and then begins again, this time in the Metal variety. A small silver and burning orange fae speckled with flames and wearing a top hat flutters out into the arena.
“Dragons and familiars, hatchlings of all ages! Welcome to the show!” The fae went on to thank the sponsors: Madame Destrea, seer and psychic!, The GREAT and AMAZING acts of FILLY the TIGER!, and Balthazar the Stupendous, and also to talk very briefly about the physics of tightrope walking. Then the acts begin!
Dragons come out wearing clown costumes and masks, riding unicycles while having artists make caricature portrait of them, and paying for expensive food items and games. Tall ridgebacks on stilts walk over the stands, peering down at the people below. A fae and a pearlcatcher are breathing, while several guardians perform a tightrope act while balancing a quill and ink bottle and slippers on their heads.
A guardian then wheels a big cannon out into the center and prepares to launch a snapper into the sky. “Have you ever seen a snapper fly?!” The audience laughs mischievously. “Let’s give our flying snap some encouragement!” Telarin's Stragenkret screams out “Don't let your dreams be dreams!”, Braixen's Pomona yells out “You can- most likely, definitely- at least you have a quite high probability of doing it! Yes!”. saphariadragon's Bella and Frostnite's Frostnip call "You are in charge of your own life. Don't let others dictate your decisions." in unison.
The snapper is now prepared for launch. The audience counts down, “3! 2! 1!” “Now we eat! Sorry not sorry.” The room erupts into the sounds of lots and lots of screaming (Of fun? Of terror? Who knows, that's part of the fun!) as the snapper flies off into the sky, bursting through the fabric of the tent. What’s this?
The snapper flies back in with the help of… two tiny fae?! So strong! The crowd screams again!
The fae hosting the event returns to announce a brief intermission while they set up the next set of acts. While the audience begins to chatter, a few dragons wheel a large cage covered in a puce sheet into the arena.
Amidst the distractions, mine's Benzaiten and Mazarine's Cidori head to the back in order to fly haphazardly across the sky trailing fiery pink glitter. They spot ice axe juggling, and then suspicious people in coats selling... ‘stuff’, and then a pair of dragons bioengineering super-bacteria out behind the tent… A bit unnerved, they go back to their seats.
LightningShatter's Thunderheart and Tagoniki's Seledia discuss strategies to win the Balloon and Darts game. PoisonNightshade's Rosemary buys some potatoes and radioactive juice, but spills them onto Troutfish's Druantia ’s lap. A tiny hatchling tosses a dull knife and it hits SoaringLynx's Meurtre in the face.
The intermission is over and the lights in the arena go dim. “A terrible beast is here today… a dangerous one… and our brave, brave beast tamer is here to tame it.” A tiny longneck comes out wearing big heavy armor and a fedora and sunglasses. They hold a boulder in one hand and a shoe in the other.
A couple of dragons pull the sheet off the cage, revealing the creature inside. It’s a 3-headed beast with one head of a poison dart frog, one of the amazingly special snowflake urchin, and one of a boolean. It has the tail of a aardvark and the body of a platypus, and while you might think it can’t be real… it is!
safen6000's Theresa suspects foul experimentation or magic might be at play, but Hanakoto's Capricorn and Deladria's Roen are too busy gazing into the creature’s neon paisley eyes to care about such concerns.
The terrible beast is released from the cage and bounds around the arena, threatening to leap up into the stands!! The audience screams! But the longneck warrior is strong and brave and wrangles it back into the cage with displays of eating a big bowl of shaved ice and bribes of cargo shorts and a deep fried bacon wrapped donut.
The beast is wheeled away and a large group of dragons wearing an obviously fake mask and disguise of themselves, because no one would suspect that the guy in a bad clown costume really is a frost delver, come out juggling a cup and a leaf and even peanuts. Other dragons balance jackets on chairs and spin them.
A large imperial starts tossing wet noodles into the crowd. MythicalViper's Kerendia catches a silver one, while Katsuokai's Unknown isn’t paying attention and gets hit in the face with one with a blue swirl pattern. BlackJasper's Wilkerson jumps up and down screaming to be given one, the imp just grins, and then pulls a microwave out of his pocket and chucks that instead.
The imperial then pulls a large quantity of hammers out of his pockets and smiles. The audience screams in fear! He just chuckles. He’s not throwing these at the audience. No, he’s throwing them at other performers. Three other dragons line up in front of the wall. The imp tosses the hammers, just barely missing each performer. Then, he uses the hammers to knock stoves off of another dragon’s head.
When that is finished, another few dragons perform an impressive trapeze act, while clowns perform rock climbing without a harness below. The entire tent is filled with bright lights. A couple of skydancers dance with fire and pencils, a few mirrors jump around on a trampoline while juggling a plastic solo cup and a toothpick, and then, another intermission.
When the show resumes, the fae host himself decides to show off a few magic tricks. First, the other dragons lock him inside a scarf and submerge it in a deep pool of hot apple cider. He is forced to escape, and somehow he does!
For his next act he needs a volunteer! Thace's Ahrima and pierrct's Pharahn raise their hands, but no, they were not what he needed. He points to FantasticHaxorus's Ray, who looks around confused. “You there… You are Exactly what I am looking for.”
“Come on now, help me out with my act!” FantasticHaxorus's Ray trips while trying to get down into the arena.
The host asks the volunteer to climb into a box. They stumble a bit, but manage to get inside. The box is closed, the fae waves his arms around it, and when it opens again, the volunteer is gone! The audience cheers. Lute music plays through the stands. The host waves enthusiastically before dapple-gray silks descend from the sky.
An aerial silk act follows. And soon after that, a ridgeback makes a huge stack of pieces of paper and balances on top of them.
Then it’s time for the final act! Several fae come out, riding very large and very enthusiastic sentient alloys. They do some tricks, some handstands in the saddles and a pillow fight, before the entire show ends with MAGIC!!
There is a musical conclusion where the entire cast sings a classic rock song while bowing, the host thanks everyone for coming to the event, and soon the audience begins to leave.
The teams reconvene outside. browncoatparadox's Til had a great time, and their favorite part was the beast tamer. Wintaer's Sitarra liked the aerial silks act.
But then Shleedelie's Mei notices. “Hey wait, did FantasticHaxorus's Ray ever come back…?” The contestants look around a bit but… no… there’s no sign of them.
It’s late, there’s a lot of chaos by now, and surely their teammate can hold their own… Perhaps they made friends with the performers… The team looks around confused for a bit and decides to head back to sleep so that they are prepared for the next day’s challenge.
It snows that night.

Fuku had a good time today, he had almost forgotten those days of the previous day, even though he was silent and away from his team.
Leaving the tent, he quickly finished the pot of ice cream he had bought, it weighed on his stomach, he was not going to sleep well.
The male Wildclaw headed for the Team 1 tent and headed for his bed. His unicorn was still waiting for him, he hugged her tightly. His sweetness took away a certain weight on his heart.
He suddenly thought of Akiyoshi, his wisdom and gentleness were lacking. The dragon Wasp would have liked to see her again, but the event was far from over.
He suddenly had an idea. He put down his soft stuffed animal and went to fetch white paper and several pens of different colors.
Fuku settled down comfortably and began to write.
Akiyoshi had taught him the art of writing when he was still young, it was time to do him honor!
The green dragon took the time to make beautiful letters and to tell every detail of the party.
It took an hour to write everything, Fuku was very tired, he began to yawn. He carefully folded the written papers and put them in a white envelope adorned with purple strokes.
He put a cover on the envelope so that the package is well protected!
Fuku came out of the tent and found a Fae nocturnal factor. He gave her the letter and indicated Akiyoshi's (particular) address. He was hoping the Fae would find it while it flew into the dark, clear night. Only the growing moon lit up the few scattered clouds.
Fuku stayed there for a few minutes before returning to the base of his team. He returned, and went to bed, sleeping peacefully after only a few minutes.[/center]

Well, today there was an actual circus at the carnival. No, I didn't give an Ataru demonstration.
Of all things, I saw a Snapper being shot out of a cannon! Two very strong Fae helped him - I suspect their necks have very powerful muscles indeed. That was just as amazing as the sight of a Longneck Warrior wearing sunglasses and a fedora. You probably won't believe me that I saw this, but it's true. I even took pictures, even though that is Strictly Not Allowed.
I had wet noodles thrown at me.
My favorite part of the circus was the act where Fae rode on top of Sentient Alloy familiars and did tricks and handstands. Considering how much alchemy is done in Emerald City, I ought to suggest to the City Council that we train some residents to put on a show riding Alloys. I think it would be a hit, and good for the City's economy!
I'd like to say "wish you were here", but, you would have hated it. You hate fun.

There certainly is a lot of fire though, which is a bit odd. Anyhow, I've made some amazing friends and hope to visit them once this whole thing is over. I miss all of you and promise to bring goodies back.
