You awaken from hypersleep. You are greeted by your swarm, which consists of one queen (makes eggs) and three eggs (become swarm members). Through a brisk interpretive dance, the queen conveys the above information, plus their willingness to follow any order you issue.

Outside the chamber is a lush jungle.

Beyond the planet is, ostensibly, a withering universe.

You look around the hypersleep chamber. The life support system is definitely organic, and it seems to have spent the last few millennia adapting its shape and size to your body. It now contains a perfect cast of you formed from a soft and giving material. There are a few ports near the neck and ears which correspond to small, painless welts on your own body, perhaps some kind of feeding/breathing system. There is nowhere near enough room for the queen or her eggs. A quick glance around the outside of the chamber indicates that they burrowed up from somewhere underground.

Your swarm waits patiently.

You step out of the chamber. The jungle is curiously silent. Directly before you lies a small clearing containing the queen, her eggs, and the hole they burrowed up through. You remember parking your ship somewhere to the north, and the planetary survey data indicated a region of active volcanism to the southwest. Eastwards lies the sea. Directly behind you (south) is a cliff face.

The queen scoops up her eggs and moves to follow you.
