Name: The Guide
Lore:
The Guide star constellation is used to determine the where North is. "Follow the Head of the Guide if you desire to go North," dragons say. "The guide will show you the way and keep you safe."
Legends say that the Guide was a Wildclaw that guided dragons out of dangerous areas. The Guide would show up in area battle ridden areas and guide those that did not wish to fight out of the area. They took routes that avoided the conflicts as much as possible and if a conflict happened the Guide would battle enemies away to keep those they were guiding safe.
As the Guide grew older they started having a harder and harder time leading dragons to safe places. They kept leading others, when needed, to safer areas until they couldn't do it anymore. The Guide passed on among friends and those that they helped guide to safety as an old dragon. The Guide is said to, still wanting to help others have safe passage, traveled into the stars to help guide them even in death.

The hatchlings crowded around Nighttide for another story. The Tundra patted the ground beside her for the youngin's to settle, before she gestured up towards the sky. "Look there. Do you see it? This is the story of how the Shadowbinder got involved in one of the Arcanist's experiments.
"Deep within the Tangled Wood, the Arcanist was on the hunt for the perfect mushrooms. He needed a good sample to take home for his faes to dissect - they were examining the bioluminescent properties. The Shadowbinder, who was in a playful mood, had been stalking the Arcanist for nearly an hour at this point, but the Arcanist was so involved in his experiment that he didn't notice. By accident, the Arcanist stepped on some of the mushrooms, and then he entire backside was glowing. The Shadowbinder thought this was so funny that he decided to start setting little traps to get more glowing mushrooms all over the Arcanist and his team.
"The Arcanist fell for quite a few of these little traps, until he grew wise of the Shadowbinder's plan and decided to get back at him. The Arcanist instructed a few of his faes to throw mushrooms in the other deity's direction. Soon, half of the Wispwillow Grove had been covered in these glowing fungi. Hoping to get the better of his competitor, the Arcanist magicked a whole mushroom patch to fly up and fling themselves over the clearing. The Shadowbinder swiftly dodged the oncoming fungi, but the Arcanist's spell had been a bit too powerful, and fungi was flung up and up, into the skies, where it landed among the stars.
"And so, to this day, you can still see the mark the Arcanist had left on the heavens in the form of the Space Fungi constellation."

Bunny cap
In old times this cap was given to young snappers to give them the power to jump very high. This was to simulate flight for them so they could also play with other young dragons. However, one night at dusk a group of hatchlings decided to play a game. The rules were to fly as high as you could before chickening out. The game commenced and some would touch the tallest of tree tops and others would claim they tasted the clouds. When it came to one snappers turn many hatchlings would begin to whisper to each other and betting the snapper wouldn't even make it as high as some tall grass around. Over hearing this the young snapper formed an idea. Putting on their bunny cap they took a running start and counted to 3 before leaping off into the sky as high as they could.
Several minutes passed and the others on the ground soon grew worried as the snapper disappeared beyond the clouds...
Some dragons claim that the bunny cap got stuck in the stars as the snapper began their descent and others claim the snapper got trapped along with the cap in the dark night sky.

The Nestminder
Dragons lay eggs. They keep them safe and comfortable in nests and tend to them carefully so that the young hatchlings inside can grow up safely. Nowadays, the laying of new clutches of eggs is a joyous occasion, filled with nothing but excitement and anticipation. But that wasn't always the case. In the past, dragon parents were certainly excited to meet their new hatchlings, but they were also fearful that they might not get the chance.
Dragons are busy creatures and it is not uncommon for other obligations to distract from nest-tending duties. While all dragon parents try their best to take care of their unhatched progeny, they may at times be faced with unavoidable circumstances preventing them from doing so. All too often they rushed back to their nests after having unexpected delays while out foraging only to find their worst nightmare had occurred. Egg rot.
While most considered it an unfair yet unavoidable part of life, there was one dragon who believed that things could change. She dedicated her life to tending the nests of those who could not do so themselves. At first, she tried to care for them as their parents would. She quickly realized that this was not the ideal solution for the problem. She could only do so much herself, and it would be heartbreaking for the expecting parents to return to find their hatchlings bonding with someone else. So the dragon set to work finding a new solution. She studied magical theory and connected it to the energy source from which life itself draws. After what felt like an eternity of research and practice, she finally developed the spell she needed.
She had developed the ability to use her breath to place the unhatched eggs into stasis. The spell could only be broken by the touch of a parent (adoptive parents count too, as far too many eggs still get separated from their nests and end up lost in the wilds). She traveled the land, teaching her spell to everyone she could. And in time, the dreaded egg rot was a thing of the past.

this constellation comes with a song! no one knows where the song originated though, it still a mystery to this day!

Time is a tool you can put on the wall or wear on your wrist
The past is far behind us, the future doesn't exist
Oh.
Whats the time?
Its a quarter to nine, time to have a bath
What do you mean, we're already clean
Scrub scrub scrub til the water's brown
Time is a ruler to measure the day, it doesn't go backwards, only one way
Watch it go round like a merry go round, going so fast like a merry go round.
Lets go on a journey, a journey through time.
Time is changing all the time, its time to go to time.
But we don't really want to
we're going to miss our show
DON'T BE STUPID FRIENDS
C'mon its time to go.
Time is old like the Victorian times.
With cobbles and plague and speaking in rhymes
With cobbles and chimneys a simpler time
With cobbles and sawdust and batteries and slime.
This tree that is old has circles inside
The tree that is older has shriveled and died
The apple that is fresh is ripe to the core
and I rot over time and I'm not anymore
Time can be told by the moon or the sun but time flies fast when you're having fun
There's a time and a place for mucking around
Like birthdays
and camping
I'm friends with my dad
and then what happened after the olden days?
Time went new and got old like history.
Stuff from the past went into a mystery
an old man died
but look a computer
Everything's cool, IT'S THE FUTURE
Time is now, the future anew, and look at all of the wonderful things you can do
With gadgets and gizmos and email addresses
My dad is a computer
Look at the time
Its quarter to eight, there's fish on my plate
Its twenty past day, there's fish on my tray
Its eleven to twelve, there's fish in the bath
Its nine thirty, there's fish everywhere....fish everywhere.
Now you can see the importance of time.
It helps us make pizza, it keeps things in line.
But when did it start?
and when will it stop?
Time is important and I am a clock.
If we run out of time, where does it go?
Is time even real?
Does anyone know?
Maybe time's just a construct of human perception. An illusion created by-
Meh, meh, meh, meh,
Meh, meh, meh, meh,
Meh, meh, MEH! MEH!
MEH! MEH! MEH! MEH!
Sunrise, sunset
night and day
The changing seasons the smell of hay.
Look at your hair grow, isn't it strange?
How time makes your appearance change.
Make it stop!
Its out of my hands, I'm only a clock
Don't worry, I'm sure you'll be fine,
but eventually everyone runs out of
time.
