@HalfheartedDoom egg two then!
@HalfheartedDoom egg two then!
@ThePhantomRose Not long after you had ventured off egg in you arms it started to shake a bit. Luckily you had the foresight to put it down for merely moments later the shell burst apart sending bits everywhere. A little grey fae looking up at you with guarded and slightly aggressive eyes. Perhaps she won't turn out overly insane after all. The egg shell crumbled around the little mirror which had been revealed inside. He whips his little blue tails as he looks up at you with playful eyes. The little drake tackles you just as you see a... that looks like an alligator with a scorpion tail maybe? Whatever it is it's running towards you @redfish As you carry the shiny almost glowing egg a bight light envelops you. When it finally fades there is no sign of an egg merely a stately little female fae. She looks up at you as if you owe her something and shifts in your arms. Ok then, my turn!

Along the shores of a river near the mirrorlight promenade, three eggs have been left. You feel sorry for them, and decide to take one. A menacing growl nearby warns you something is watching the eggs as well. You must act quickly, which do you choose?

Egg one is a dusty egg which has lost its shine, but radiates with a comforting warmth from within. It sits in a patch of dandelions on the shore.

Egg two is so bright it's nearly blinding, like a small sun. It's hot to the touch, but should cool soon enough. It's propped up near a patch of stones, which have scratched it up a little.

Egg three is the closest to the water. Small waves lap up against it keeping it cool and clean. It makes the water around it shimmer. The light it emanates is attracting small fish.

Alright I'll tag you when the eggs hatch!
@InternJiji You pick up the first egg and it shudders, cracks forming in the shell. Within moments a tiny fae crawls out. He looks up at you with wide golden eyes, his wings fluttering happily. @queenhoneybun Before you can pick up the second egg it's already cracking open, a tiny head poking it's way out. The rest of the body quickly follows and a bright fae shoots out and begins fluttering around you, inspecting you, before landing on your shoulder and giving you a quick nuzzle. @Detroness (you win! Congrats!) The last egg also hatches before you can reach it. A ridgeback pokes his head out. Seeing that he's in water, he immediately panics and cries out. You pick the egg up and try to soothe him, but it's too late. An enormous beast jumps out from the bushes and looks right at you. It look like a tiger, but with peacock feathers? No matter what it is, it won't leave you alone with the frightened hatchling, and will likely follow you home. King Parda

The snow is soft but cold against your scales and you can't help but shiver as you tread through the snow. Occasionally, one of your paws will sink into the ground and occasionally you'll pull it back out and then continue onward.

Then you sink into a particularly deep patch of snow! Deep enough that your chest bumps against the snowy ground, and... is that... warmth?

Instantly curious, you dig and clear away the snow and are amazed for find a nest filled with eggs. You can't help but wonder who would build a nest out here, so much that you barely hear a chorus of howls in the distance...

Egg One: It appears this is the one you may have... nudged on, for a lack of a better word. A small spider web of cracks that you hope doesn't spread. Besides the crack, the egg is a pale iridescent swirl of the colors grey, silver, and a light blue.

Egg Two: This egg is wrapped in dried leaves, moss, fur, and the occasional feather to keep the hatchling inside of it warm. Past the insulation, the egg is a... quite plain, now that you examine it. So plain, this egg is, that you are half convinced it's a chicken's egg, but then again... chicken eggs aren't this big...

Egg Three: Similar to the previous egg, this egg does appear to be a chicken egg, except that it is much more.... polished looking than it's clutch mate. Polished to the point where it looks like marble, very smooth marble. In fact, now that you think about it, you do notice the barely discernible spider web of silver lines that weave and climb across the egg's smooth surface.

Egg Four: The one is the most eye catching of the whole clutch. A polished surface of silver is what the egg's color is, but what really catches your eye are the irregular crystal growths that decorate the silver surface.

Based on the warmth the nest is radiating, it seems that the nest will hatch... tomorrow.
