Brightshine was hatched on the last day of Brightshine Jubilee, from a light egg I found, and wasn't sure what to do with.

Founder

I immediately went to the AH and found his mate, who I named Maggie for 10kT

Mate

She has light eyes, and met the price requirement. I chose her because of her magenta tert. My founder has a magenta tert as well, and I think I might try to stick with a magenta tert theme. I also chose a spiral, in hopes that the first hatchling might be a spiral as well (I know guardian is less common but, my goal is to end up with some limited or rare hatchlings at some point.

Today, 7/12/2015 I put them on a nest.

Some of their breeding outcomes aren't bad- having to choose only the "first" born hatchling is going to hurt I think.

My plan is to keep the gen 1, and the final heir to compare side by side, and sell or exalt the first mate/all other hatchlings and mates.

7/17/2015 Three little guardian's were hatched!

Secondary Platinum Basic
Tertiary Magenta Basic
This little guy is my heir! I'm so glad he got a primary tert! I actually like his colors as well!

His sister, who I think also got nice colors

Their basic little brother, who I think got nice colors, but unfortunately, all basic genes!

This will be his mate. Bought for 15kt, and came named: Aramala

Velvet and Aramala hatched their nest. The hatchlings are as follows:

Female - Not going to lie: I think she's gorgeous. Has a magenta tert! I wish it had shown up!

Female - I also think she's lovely (and she also has a magenta tert - They all do)

Female - I've got to say, I'm disappointed that she isn't the heir. I was hoping for a common breed for the heir, so I could continue to increase the points each time. BLAST!

So, as these are my 3rd generation hatchlings, the mate I choose for the first hatchling can be up to 30kT. I chose this guy:

This is SwordBreaker. He came named and he was 15kT. I love their breeding outcomes! (matching terts and primaries, with a range for their secondaries!)

This is Gideon. He's LIGHT flight, and cost 20kT. Unbred, and came named. He replaced SwordBreaker (who I sold for 10kT)
I like that they have a matching primary, and I'm hoping the smoke gene gets picked up by the heir! Fingers crossed!

Finally nested them, and got a three egg nest. Fingers crossed for that smoke tert still! <3

Now the hunt for a mate, and to sell the hatchlings begins. I'm trying to decide if I want to only get coatl/WC mates from here on out, hoping against hope that we get one of those breeds in the outcome, or just stick with Imp/Noc.

Picked a mate. I decided to choose based on what was available on the AH and the choices were limited. There was a beautiful WV with glimmer and crystal I wanted to get to shoot for the stars gene/breed wise, but she was 40kT and I exalt my mates after their nest hatches so I just didn't want to spend that atm (plus, someone may really want her, and I would have some guilt)
So, for 15kT, I picked up this beauty.

She has all gem genes, and fairly tight color outcome. I think I'll stick with a: Rose-Silver primary with any color secondary and a magenta tertiary for the remainder.

Alright! The nest hatched, and 2 the first two are a male female version of my heir (but the female as a coal secondary instead of black) down to the genes, bummer. And, All of them have a basic secondary; none picked up a gem gene. The second two are little clones of the mate, but with the treasure/basic genes. Womp womp.
