Oh no… What am I going to do?

A Skydancer paces back and forth on the short Focal Point grass, occasionally stopping to wring his hands.

When he catches a glimpse of you he flutters over and says, “Look, I really need your help. When Laboratory Sixteen fell out of our dimension last week all of our constellation records were lost! All of my star maps--and all of Arcane’s files on the constellations--were in that laboratory.

He pauses, sitting back on his haunches and running his hands through his mane. He whines something that sounds a lot like, “The Arcanist is gonna kill me, I never should have left them by an active laboratory…

He shakes his head and continues, “What I need you to do is to go back to your clans and see if you can find anybody who knows about the constellations. Ask your matriarchs and patriarchs about the old legends. Ask any Snapper you see! Ask an Arcane dragon if they know any constellations, I don’t know.

Another Skydancer glides in and lands next to the first. “Skywatcher, are you harassing the festival-goers again?” she asks.

The world is going to end if we don’t do something, Sunwatcher! The Lab Five scryers are saying that the stars are key to preventing it!"

Oh dear, again? I thought we had a few weeks.” Sunwatcher seems entirely unruffled at the possibility of the world ending, and leans in to preen at Skywatcher’s mane.

Skywatcher makes an exasperated noise and takes off, landing on another floating island to pester another group of dragons.

Sunwatcher shrugs. “Well, if we’re ahead of schedule on the world ending, we might as well get those constellations recorded. Would you mind giving him a hand?

Hello everyone, and welcome to the Constellation Station! This is a little creative competition based around constellations--both the images and the stories behind them.

There are three ways to enter, which all will get you tickets to the main Starfall raffle: simple constellations, complex constellations, and writing. Simple constellations are worth 3 tickets, complex constellations are worth 7 tickets, and writing is worth 7 tickets. Skywatcher is giving every entrant a Lucky Star for their help as well!
Lucky Star

A simple constellation is just connecting the stars with lines to create a basic constellation. Here’s an example simple constellation:

A complex constellation adds some detail to a simple constellation, either on the star map or as a separate image. This means that any image submitted is either a simple or a complex constellation, so please specify which it is when you enter! Here’s an example complex constellation:

Writing is either a legend or a report on a constellation. Go nuts with lore or give us a peek into everyday life! Entries should be at least 50 words. There’s no upper limit on word count, but please keep it reasonable; we need to read many entries, after all! Here’s an example written piece, of the lore variety:

"The Vanquisher"
Early in the Fourth Age, Emperors were a constant threat to the dragon clans. The Eleven, hesitant to act for fear of sparking new conflict between themselves, were slow to put a stop to their rampages. This was a time when mage-dragons were few and far between, which put dragonkind at a distinct disadvantage against the magic-wielding Emperors. It was into this time of great bloodshed that Luce was born to a middling Wind clan.
When another plague swept through the Reedcleft Ascent, it spawned yet another monstrosity that began destroying the bamboo forest, and Luce came to her clan's defense.
The Emperor was colossal--the largest yet seen in the Ascent. Its six heads spewed fire and toxic sludge, and its innumerable limbs knocked dragons out of the sky. Many died that day; Luce was the last.
She was indomitable in battle, somehow managing to avoid being crushed outright as she harried between its legs and tore up its wings. Finally, when it was clear that the Emperor would continue unchecked to the Steppes, Luce knew that something had to be done.
She crawled up its disintegrating neck and clawed out one of its heads eyes, then dropped to its underside. As its heads snaked down to crush her, she knocked its back legs off the side of the chasm, and its bloated weight crushed its own heads.
Luce's valiant sacrifice was immortalized by the Eleven in a constellation, to remind dragonkind that sometimes only one brave individual can change the course of history.

Every entry should also give the constellation a name and give a general description of what the constellation looks like.

No plagiarism! That includes from human mythology--it’s okay to take inspiration from an existing constellation, but please don’t make your entry just a dragon-Hercules constellation (that is, taking a real world myth and putting dragons were humans are).
Entries are due before rollover on the 27th. Any entries after that will not be counted, so get them in on time!
You can make two different entries, and the entries may both be on the same constellation. You could write a legend to go with a simple constellation, for example, or you could make two separate constellations!
Entries can be made with any image editing program. If you need one, try paint.net or GIMP.
There will be a total of nine winning entries, three (first, second, and third) in each of the following categories: simple constellations, complex constellations, and writing. The prizes for the simple constellations entries will have prize packs that have a lower AH worth than those in the other two categories. Winners will be decided by a panel of judges. Oh boy.... question:

I don't know how to use computer programs to make the lines... is it possible to just enter the writing section, and give a description of where the constellation is in the sky? I can see about 5 different shapes I could use, but I just can't draw them...
"The Lovers" A pair of Spirals, locked together in a loving embrace. In an age long ago, remembered only by the oldest of white-crested sea breezes, there lived a pair of Spirals on the cliffs of the zephyr steppes. These wyrms were most blessed among the children of wind, for they posessed between them all of the virtues of dragonkind. The elder, Xianwyn, was keen of eye, strong of wing, and she had a wealth of knowledge of the world and its inhabitants, and a longing to know more besides. Her mate, Aurlyra, was similarly gifted with brillaint mind, gentle demeanor, and a rare and pure heart, to sway any dragon to her side alongst her silver tongue. The two Spirals were as happy as could be, as they loved each other passionately and unselfishly; and they lived out their days in peace and tranquility. Sadly, this was not to last; for one day there ignited a terrible war, a clash of forces that threatened to take a great many lives. Both Xianwyn and Aurlyra gave themselves to the cause, and they fought with mighty strength, and in battle were a magnificent and terrible sight. The war waged for many years; and when the dust finally settled, and Aurlyra laid down her arms, her mate was nowhere to be found. They had seperated some time before, to lend their aid to separate forces, but Aurlyra was desperately missing her companion. She searched ceaselessly for Xianwyn, believing that a dragon of her strengths could not possibly have been vanquished - but she never found her. A comrade of hers, a mighty soldier who later came to be known as the war hero Mul Lok, finally told her the story of how Xianwyn had been overcome in battle. She had fought mightily against creatures of immense size and strength, but eventually her wounds wore her down, and she was felled. Where she now lay, he knew not; and this was perhaps what aggrieved Aurlyra the most. She became inconsolable, distraught over the loss of her beloved. It is said she spilt her grief for forty-nine days and nights; and as the fiftieth day dawned, spent from the outpouring and heart heavy with the loss of her love, she collapsed, exhausted, by the very shore the pair had used to live. She watched the sun rise over the ocean, as the two of them had done so many times before; but her eyes were dry, for she had no tears left to give. At this time the Windsinger, touched by the devotion and sacrifice from these most beloved of His children, descended upon the shore, and He spoke unto her in a soft voice. He offered to grant her a single wish, in acknowledgement of her purest of souls. Aurlyra was humbled by His majesty and kindness; and so she spoke, with her dying breath, that her only wish was to be with her mate Xianwyn again. The Windsinger was greatly moved; and so He took the last air from her lungs and made it shimmer with all the glory of her deeds and burn with all the passion of her love; and He sent it spiralling up, up into the dusty sky. And the lovers were reunited at last, and they wove themselves together in jubilation, and their embrace was immortalised amongst the star-speckled heavens.
Cinnamon ends by staring off into the sky for a long while, sighing occasionally. Eventually she snaps out of her reverie, and beams widely. "Anyway, I hope that was helpful! I should really be going, though. I heard one of my lairmates was going to try and enter the cookery contest, and I should probably try and stop him."
