@BeingOfNature - No problem. As expected, there are always kinks that need to be worked out.
You plan these things and you think you covered all your bases but you've also been looking at it for a month and kind of lose sight of what fresh minds may think. ;)

A dragon whose eyes are shrouded in black wraps is led onto the stage by a parchment-coloured imperial. The imperial nudges him until he is facing the three judges, before withdrawing to the side of the stage.

"My name is Daell," the fae says. Although he is only small in stature and remains slightly crouched and hunched, his voice carries easily to the judges and he sounds confident. "My poem is called
Windsinger's Breath:

The breezes pluck at branches that reach up
Towards a bright and translucent sky,
Adrift with clouds which arch to mirror
The spiral shape of the Steppe below.

The singing deity sends forth his call:
Rushing zephyrs through reeds and shoots
Blow soft songs and sweet harmonies
Into the ears of all who pass by.

The gale plucks at both great and small wings,
Tugging each dragon towards the festivities:
The twisting air of the towering Crescendo
Leads lucky dragons to loftier heights.

They come to the Cloudsong, cast up to the height
By bluster and gust into the brightness above.
Here cool breezes find kite tails to flutter;
Here easy winds lift All dragons’ wings.

Thank you."

Daell inclines his head in a small bow, then turns towards his imperial companion and nods, signaling for him to come and collect him from the stage.

@Eclipsa @Paintminion @Layz @Scrivello ((I see the first post mentions entering two+ haiku, but I'm hoping entering one haiku with two stanzas is alright? If not, let me know and I'll write a different entry. ^ _ ^;; Same thing goes for the subject matter I choose too. I kind of focused on an overly-dedicated wind dragon fighting to make sure messenger scrolls get delivered :X)) A young, well-toned wildclaw makes his way onto the stage. As he stands there waiting for the cue to begin, he seems almost twitchy, as if there were somewhere else he'd rather be. Even so, he looks fierce and determined to accomplish what he has set out to do, whatever that may be. Once one of the judges nods to him, he begins immediately: "I am Windsong, and I was sent to deliver this poem." He retrieves a scroll from the satchel he's wearing, deftly unrolls it, and promptly begins reading. ((Edit: I can't seem to get the messenger's scroll to link even with the apostrophe code trick, so changed it to just the image. - _ -;;))

A Wayfarer Told Me

I can bring you news from afar
care to hear a tale?
I am the mouthpiece for thousands of lives
What better than to share?

I've trekked with Snappers of Dragonhome
that was a history lesson!
And studied with Faes at Starwood Strand
for magic is their profession

There was a Tundra I fancied so
she lived back at icy Cloudscrape
But when I returned from Trickmurk Circus
she would not remember my name!

Have you visited Nature domain?
It's tranquil, the milieu attractive
And I do admit, vis-à-vis
the Spirals back home are hyperactive

If there's someone above of the curve today
that would be a Pearlcatcher
Don't look when they're mending their precious, though
that is a different chapter

You'd think that Guardians are serene
given that water's their origin
But they can be rather obsessive at times
even by a very large margin

Don't believe the rumors of Mirror-kind
they're really a friendly bunch
But evade if you're in between of their prey
otherwise you might just go 'crunch'

Looking for cutting edge technology?
The Shifting Expanse's your destination
But if traditional machinery's more your style
you better heed Flamecaller's invitation

I still do not know as much as I'd like
there's plenty to see and learn
The world is wide, but I have time
I'll be elsewhere in a moon's turn

--

I personally chose Wind flight because I absolutely love to travel, so my approach to the poem was to tell a story through a wandering wind dragon, of what they've learned during their travels. Not sure if that still counts as wind being the central theme, but at least I had fun writing it. :D (also English isn't my native language so sorry if there are silly grammar errors!)

@Lundlaeva @Melis - Poems received! Thank you for your entries. :D

@Meyoline
I think what you've submitted is fine / should not be a problem for our judges. It's cohesive as one poem so.. yeah. Also, Windsong is so handsome!

A silver, female wildclaw runs on stage and nudges Swiatla. It's his clanmate, Lorelei, who seems rather eager to share something. She playfully pushes her 'little brother' aside with a wink. He rolls his eyes but allows her to take the MIC. With drama she speaks:

Oh judges, oh host, oh friends abound
And all you other people gathered round
This little poem is no entry
Just think of it as.. supplementary:

Why, it is simply too quiet today.
Does no one want to come and play?
I hear nor see no words of fun!
But I do suppose we've just begun.

Do not fear those amassed,
Scorn and scoff will not be cast.
Simply step up and speak aloud,
Make your clan and deity proud.

So wind your words with wind in mind
and share them with your fellow kind.

She bows and extends her hand to the side staircase before breaking her persona and letting out a giggle.

But really, if you're thinking about entering, come on up! This is a pretty nice view.

She says with a wink to the audience. They laugh in response and applaud her performance. Noticing the _real_ host waiting impatiently by her side she hands the MIC back to him with a quick peck on the cheek before bounding off the stage and returning to the crowd.

*Floats down onto the stage and clears his troath*

My fAIR lady.

Her touch trough my hair.
Her whispers in my ear.
A lady so fair.
A breath, so dear.

She gives me air.
And carries me high.
Takes me back to my lair.
Trough the open sky.

Who is this dame?
some might inquire.
WIND IS HER NAME!
I shout from the tempest spire.

*takes a bow*

Now if you will excuse me, I need to run before my wife catches me on stage again.
