Welcome
Welcome to the Exalt Rescue Shelter! This shelter is here to buy or take in dragons who users have attachment to and are in threat of exaltation. This is both a buying thread and a charity thread. The funds raised here will be solely for buying dragons that owners want to remove from their lairs but do not wish to exalt because they have attachment to them. If your dragon does not meet our criteria, please see our affiliates and resources for alternative threads for selling your dragon. The Shelter will also provide a babysitting service wherein we will hold dragons a user does not wish to lose until space is made in their lair. This thread is to be a community service and while we have just started, I hope it will grow to be able to meet the needs of the community. To learn how to help it do so, see below for donation options.

Rules
We ask that you please thoroughly read the rules before you post. The rules are subject to change from time to time. Please skim the rules for any changes before you post even if you have read them previously.
1. You must have an attachment to the dragon you wish to drop off. This cannot be stressed enough. We do not buy to re-sell for profit. We are acting as a service to those who do not want to exalt for a reason beyond disliking exaltation. We are not buying to buy. Please keep that in mind. This is the most important rule.
2. If you do not include a little something about your dragon such as when you bought it, why you love it so much, it's personality, or anything that indicates that you actually care about this dragon, then your post will be ignored. Again, if you do not provide some sign that you care about this particular dragon more than others, your post will be ignored.
3. The shelter will not take in dragons that are less than one month old. This rule is being put in place to ensure that only dragons who a player has had sufficient time to develop a strong attachment to are dropped off.
4. If you wish to drop off a dragon without requiring treasure in return, you are welcome to do so. If you wish to receive a bit of treasure, we have a standard price list for reference. Please take a look at it. Standard pricing makes things easier on us when we sell the dragons and ensures a more consistent pricing for both buying and selling.
5. When bringing a dragon to the shelter, please specify if you have any conditions for the next owner. Examples of conditions would be no renaming, no breed-changing, or no scatter scrolling. We will relate these conditions to the next owner and ask them to abide by them.
6. Do not ping Rangers on threads with exalt threatened dragons unless the user who is selling is expressing distress or displeasure with the idea of having to exalt their dragons but has no other option. Users who have regular exalt blocks for unsold dragons most likely do not have a problem exalting them if they do it on a regular basis.
7. Do not advertise your dragons here. Only post dragons you wish for us to take in at the listed prices. If someone happens to see and want your dragon by coincidence, that is fine. Please, remove that dragon from your original post to avoid confusion and message that user to complete negotiations. This will keep the thread from being cluttered.
8 Any one user is only allowed to drop off 3 dragons per month at the shelter. This is because we have limited space. We would love to take in all the dragons, but our lairs just aren't big enough!
9. If you have read these rules, please include "Out of the Gladeveins and into the Shrieking Wilds." in your post, so that we will know you have taken the time to read our rules. If you do not, your post will be ignored. If you can't take the time to read our rules or even our intended purpose then we will not take the time to reply to you at all.
10. If your dragon is bought by a user - or even a member of the shelter - as a personal purchase, the buyer is not bound by the no-exalt policy. You must make that deal with the individual who is purchasing the dragon. The dragon will not be placed into our records and it will not be checked up on. It must be sold as a shelter dragon and placed into the for sale thread before it is subject to the weekly exalt check.
11. Please ping all Rangers or all Babysitters - whichever is relevant - when you post for a faster response time - excluding those with strikes through their names. This lets everyone know there has been a post and prevents yours from falling through the cracks.

Helping Out
Monetary:
If you would like to donate to the fund, please send the treasure or gems to RyoseiHime in a message with the title Rescue Fund. All donations will be recorded as much to be open with the public as to keep the books so to speak. Funds will be used for buying exalt threatened dragons and expanding lairs for space to store them until new homes are found. Treasure may also be used on occasion to buy a re-naming scroll as incentive for buyers.
Lair Space:
If you wish to donate lair space of your own, you can join our list of Rescue Rangers. Rescue Rangers are entitled to one lair expansion from the funds when funds allow, but that space must be used to house shelter dragons for as long as the user remains with the shelter. You may leave the shelter, obviously, but if there are any cut and runs, this will cease to be a perk of being a Ranger and all lair expansions will be for my own lair so that I can be sure the spaces bought with Rescue funds are used for Rescue dragons.
Appearance Enhancements:
You are also welcome to donate anything that would improve the appearance of some of our triple basics or even our already fabulous dragons. We'll accept gene scrolls if you want to throw them our way, apparel, breed changes, scatter scrolls, and, of course, renaming scrolls. All of these things could help us find a forever home for our dragons that may have less popular colors or genes.
Food and Leveling:
You can help out by providing Rescue Rangers with food to feed the shelter dragons we are holding. You may send the food to anyone on the Rescue Ranger list. We will also lend out dragons for leveling to make the dragon more appealing. When leveling for the shelter, please leave stat points unallocated so the next owner can decide where to place them.
Notifying:
If there is a listing on the forums with a dragon that will be exalted if it does not sell, and the user expresses they do not wish this to happen, the Rescue Rangers can be pinged. If you choose to purchase the dragon and hold it for the shelter, you will be reimbursed for the cost of the dragon from the treasury. You must ping RyoseiHime in the thread even if you purchase the dragon yourself. Please be mindful of the current treasury total before buying in these circumstances. Otherwise, you may have to wait for reimbursement.

I haven't set up the thread for selling yet, so I haven't added the link, but it'll go up in a bit. :3 I figured two threads would be good so each is in the appropriate part of the forum.

@
RyoseiHime That's what I thought...
Huh, maybe you could become affiliated to the associations so that you get some more attention? The dragon sales forum moves really fast, so it might be harder to catch people's eyes.
