my current plan for this boy ^^ anyways, here's some lore for him! I hope this is enough (I plan on expanding it! I have just unfortunately run out of time to keep writing);
Tucked away in a grove of trees, not far from the palace itself, lies a large glass greenhouse. Its windows are frosted over from within and intricately woven silver bars crisscross throughout the dome-like building. It glints like a precious jewel in pale morning sunlight, a whimsical and enchanting sight, as if something that could only come from a fairytale. However, there was no entrance to be seen, a quizzical feature that often left the rare passerby puzzled—that is if one were to stumble upon such a structure in the first place.
Inside the greenhouse was an entirely different story. A garden, lush with flora of all kinds, thrived confined in its ornate cage. It was entirely obvious that someone was tending to the plants, for they were not unruly or wild in their growth—but neat and beautiful in presentation. What was strange, however, was how everything was covered in a thin layer of frost. It accentuated the natural beauty of the little world, creating a shimmering glint that caught one’s eye. Just as wondrous as it was to see on the outside, the greenhouse was even more stunningly captivating indoors.
Enclosed in such a lovely place was an Imperial curled upon a large bed of red carnations. He slept peacefully within the garden, unaffected by its chilly temperatures, warmed by his own protective coat of fur. It was like spider’s silk, spilling down his neck and across his shoulders, clinging to his arms, legs, and wings. A gentle breeze kissed his fair cheek, waking him. As soon as his eyes flickered open, snowflakes began to manifest and drift from their corners like tears, signifying the powerful magic he possessed. The great drake raised his head, peering curiously in the direction of which the breeze came from, acutely aware that he now had a visitor.
But this time, it was not the Queen herself visiting him.
It was her son.
“My Prince,” He greeted respectfully with a elegant bow of his head. “It is a pleasure to be graced by your presence.” He watched the young Pearlcatcher hatchling approach as he meandered along the stone path of the garden, his red eyes wide with wonder, the corners of his lips curling up with delight.
“Are you the protector of this place?” The boy asked, turning his attention of awe upon the Imperial. His voice was gentle, but commanded respect. The larger drake expected no less from the prince himself.
“Indeed, I am.”
“Oh, how delightful.” The prince purred, pleased. “I’ve heard my mother speak of you sometimes… Now I finally get the chance to meet you myself!”
