“What do you mean, forgotten?” Talus parroted back. There was something familiar about the Fae that he couldn’t quite put his finger on; but he decided that perhaps now might not be the best time to focus on something like that. This young dragon clearly needed a shoulder to cry on- and, well, here he was. It was as if fate had brought them together here. “Did someone leave you behind?” he asked, trying to console the Fae.
She nodded, tears still falling, though not quite as heavy as they were when Talus first found her. The sobs had eased into little shoulder shakes and deep breaths, and she was beginning to calm down finally. “My family- they left me here and when… when I went home…” she shook her head as her breaths began picking up speed once again. It was at this point that Talus reached out to place a hand on the Fae’s shoulder- only to find that it passed right through her. His eyes widened slightly in shock, though he tried not to let his face betray his emotions much further than that. Luckily, she hadn’t even noticed through the tears.
“Sit with me” he prompted- something in his bones told him that this was his new calling, this is what he was brought back for. As the two of them sat on the dewy grass, the Fey began to calm down, telling him about her short life up until this point.
Her name was Honey, and she was so small because she was just barely out of her hatchling time, for which he felt very sad. He listened calmly as she told him all about her nestmates and her parents, and how she had awoke here, on the grass, alone. When she had gone home, not one dragon paid her any mind, or even looked at her; it was as if they were looking right through her. Talus understood more as she went further and further on, and something sparked his memory; Sugar, another clanmate, had just lost a daughter. His heart sunk at the realization that this must be her- she must be trapped in the in between. He didn’t even know how to begin to tell her what was going on, and yet he felt that he must. And so he gently, quietly began the process of explaining to her that perhaps it was time to move on to the other side; that she was no longer of this plane. She was an ethereal being now, and very, very far from her new home.
“Honey” he said sweetly, suddenly able to rest a claw on the Fae’s shoulder. “Perhaps its time for you to go. I will stay, and I will watch over your family while you move onto your new life” he gave a reassuring smile, and her worries were quelled. She took a deep breath.
“Thank you, Talus” she said gently, before she closed her eyes and slowly at first, then all at once, disintegrated into a glimmering stardust, which the wind carried on its way.
“Goodbye, friend” he said with a smile, watching as the last of the shimmering dust was whisked away. But then another, more familiar voice called out to him.
I'm sorry this one came a day late, but I still really wanted to do it. I don't know if it will still count as a prompt completed, but thats okay! I don't mind if it doesn't.

1/4/19: Cold Heart
Kronos himself has never been one to lack emotions, quite the opposite in honest. The poor boy can be quite emotional when pushed to extremes, these recent events often leave the sting of tears in his eyes. That lump in his throat he has to choke back down, because while he isn't cold hearted. He knows what it's like to be on the receiving end of those that are.
Uninviting tone, defensive if not aggressive body language and his reflection in the dead, emotionless eyes of those around him. All they see is an outcast, a runt. Something that should've died as a hatchling, why cruel nature spared a lunatic none of them can fathom. No matter how brilliant his smile or how obvious the compassion is in his demeanor. Stranger continually turn him away.
Forcing an almost nomadic lifestyle on him, just because their unfeeling hearts won't ponder what could really be going on. Why is it so that his pleas at not being from their home world are so far fetched? Kronos knows for a fact that he has seen others that don't being or are not from here either. The numbers above their heads are different, their equations are not of dragon standard.
Are these giant lizards really so blind? What is so important that they must deny 'the unusual' so adamantly? Preposterous. kronos would mumbles irritably to himself about these people. He might have a cold heart, but they just might give him one. He pours his heart out at any opportunity and he's constantly just dragged through the mud.

Could I be added to the pinglists for new hatchlings and announcements? I finally took the time to read through this project and, oof, I need one.
