@callmeang, I've done that a few times -- grabbed a dragon who looked right and only realized afterward that a gene was wrong (or worse, that they couldn't breed with my intended mate for them; I learned to be downright religious about scrying whether a pair was okay!). In this case, it's not too bad... her secondary gene isn't so common it'll override anything you put her with, and everything else looks right, so at worst, some of their babies will be Songbirds and others won't. One of my foundation pairs was like that.

@VoyagerII I'm glad I'm not the only one that has gotten a bit too enthusiastic! LOL, I found the code, and also, as soon as I can breed him, I will. I'm excited, I like the idea of them! And I do love green dragons as well.

@VoyagerII my pair with the songbird you gave me have hatched their first nest. Can they be registered? @bonibaru, unfortuntely, I've had to stop trying to keep a registry because of stuff happening in my offline life. :( But your babies certainly qualify as Songbirds and you can "self-register" them as such by grabbing the code from @EmeraldJubilee's post and putting it in their info section! Same for everyone else: if you're sure that your dragon meets the breed standard, go ahead and put the code in -- no need to ask. If you're not sure (for example, you've got two shades of green and something which might be yellow or might be brown depending on how you interpret it), it's totally okay to ask me, or the Songbird community here at large, what we think.

In your particular case, bonibaru, you're just fine; they're not even close to the boundaries. Typical Songbirds, both of them. If you're interested someday, I've got a possible female to breed to that little male, when he grows up. :D

@VoyagerII I've somehow managed to get what I think are two songbirds from one of my birds! This one is pretty typical: And this one is...well, I think she counts: I'm thinking about keeping the rare eyed one, but due to being a mono special eyed lair the common one needs to go. I'm also willing to trade for a partner for the rare eyed one, so I can more consistently breed songbirds. @EmeraldJubilee Could you add me to the general pinglist? Thank you in advance!

@Lightningwind, your second one is unusual but definitely counts! There's no rule that the blue can't be primary.

Pinglist: @callmeang. Baby Coatl Songbirds available! PWYW. There will be adults coming soon; I'm narrowing down my breeding stock to a few pairs.
