This is a special dragon swap game that allows you to pick the dragon that you get. In return, you offer several dragon choices to others!
This thread is meant to improve upon MolyMerua's Send-down with a few tweaks to make things faster, easier, and hopefully more enjoyable for everyone involved. I didn't come up with this, but I hope that everyone will enjoy it.
1) Choose a dragon from the person above you's post.
Be sure to ping them (@playername) when you post! If you are simply commenting, put your comment inside brackets [Like this]. This prevents confusion as to who is claiming what.
2) Wait for your crossroads to arrive.
Give at least a day or two and PM the player before canceling any trades. Some people can be slow at times.
3) Post in this thread offering at least three nice dragons to pick from.
These three dragons should...
- Not be in the Auction House or on a nest
- Have at least 2 non-basic genes, but can otherwise be any breed
- be nice-looking dragons (no "uglies")
- No "travelers". Dragons given here may be exalted
Offering three dragons gives players more choices and will speed things up. Don't exalt these dragons unless you replace them on the post first. If you don't have enough nice dragons to post, try other swap threads or the auction house to find more.
Once a dragon changes hands the new owner may do as they wish with them.
4) Once a day you can bump the thread and/or replace dragons if you want.
Do not make new posts to add new dragons to your offer: simply edit your old post so there are new dragons listed. You may then make a new post to let people know there are new dragons and bump up the thread. You may delete your bumps from the thread if you like. This may seem strict, but it actually prevents confusion and keeps the thread moving smoother and faster.
If everyone follows the rules this should provide a better, faster dragon swap for everyone.
Please, enjoy!
Yes, this is a slower style of swap! Be prepared to hold your dragons a couple of days. Don't join this thread if you need dragons gone right now now now! It's a great place for trying to find homes for pretty dragons that don't want to sell or attractive leftovers from breeding projects, however.
When offering dragons, try to have at least two different breeds to pick from. Also try having the dragons be different colors (for example, one mostly red, one mostly blue and one mostly black). More variety = more chances someone wants your dragon.
Putting a short description of the dragon's good points above the dragon's image tends to make it sound fancier and increase likelihood of being picked. Things like being over a year old, having a number 7-digits or less, being triple-gened, being second or third gen, having popular colorations like "double" or "XYX", never being bred, eligibility for a popular breeder group like "eyebleeder" or "snowbelly", or having levels all are great examples of things to mention.
A few popular/unpopular options in no particular order
Your offered dragons don't need to match this as tastes will vary (I love mirrors!) but they are still observations that might lend a hand when you're not sure what to pick.
Most popular colors: Red, black, gold, blue, white.
Least popular colors: brown, magenta, grey
Most popular breeds: Imperial, Fae, Skydancer, Tundra
Least popular breeds: snapper, ridgeback, mirror
Most popular genes: iri/shim, cry/fac, circuit, seraph, okapi
Least popular genes: Basic, Hypnotic, eye spot, crackle (very color dependent)
Last but not least, if you have read this entire post PM me with my favorite underdog dragon type and I'll send you a small gift. Yes, it's totally free! Hooray!
