Their numbers have taken heavy hits over the past few centuries, so they turn their eyes to the dragons of Sornieth. Treaties are made for safe passage of those within their ranks that will serve as ambassadors, bolstering their numbers within the safety of these host clans and sharing their wisdom in return. This subspecies is heavily lore driven. These creatures have come from the celestial planes of space as ambassadors of their kind in hopes of growing their numbers within the safety of Sornieth’s clan. Welcome to my subspecies page! This subspecies came to be from my own love of space and stars borne unto the creative space that Flight Rising offers all of us. This is my first time dabbling with a subspecies, so I hope you all enjoy it as much as I did when I created it!

Stardust Dragons are a subspecies of dragons that predate most life as it is known within the universe. Born out of stardust itself, these dragons are capable of harnessing massive amounts of energy and shaping the very material their ancestors shaped millenia ago. Their numbers have taken heavy hits over the past few centuries, so they turn their eyes to the dragons of Sornieth. Treaties are made for safe passage of those within their ranks that will serve as ambassadors, bolstering their numbers within the safety of these host clans and sharing their wisdom in return.

This subspecies is heavily lore driven. These creatures have come from the celestial planes of space as ambassadors of their kind in hopes of growing their numbers within the safety of Sornieth’s clan. How your clan has been chosen for these dragons and their goals is entirely up to you!

Darkness, vast and unending, birthed a plume of life. It melded and reformed, taking shape after shape until an explosion erupted through the vast nothingness. Life blossomed, became tenfold until it was everywhere. So full of life was the universe, it had forgotten to shape into something comprehensive; something material. So, the dust swirled together. It ebbed and flowed as it tried new forms until it settled into something. It became sentient, and it did the same to more of the glittering dust of raw energy that it had been created from. Life erupted and created more life. Such was how it all began. Time would pass, worlds would come and go. Stardust would always be there, whether in billows of nebulas or powerful stars that burned their pure raw energy from so far away. But more importantly it would always be within its first creations: the stardust dragons. The first of their kind would become known as the Black Stars. They had kept their darkness of their pre-life, and with it they preferred to hide in the corners of their beloved universe. The Black Stars had made all before them at the behest of their eternally dark creator, and in homage they kept themselves impartial overseers as that life continued to grow on their own paths. Their appointed successors became known as the Royal Stars, though those Black Stars that so boldly intermingled with the others soon found their pairings had bloomed the adolescent Abyssal Stars into being. Over time the universe settled. It continued on at a pace only described as steady rather than the spontaneous and bumpy beginnings. A world emerged within its inky folds, surrounded by stars and filled with life that resembled the stardust dragons. It became known as Tamriel, and the continent that these terrestrial dragons resided on Sornieth. It saw the rise and fall of life and civilizations, it saw threats from deep parts of space. The same threat that had almost destroyed the entire planet had caused great damage upon the stardust dragons as well, and their populations were drastically lowered. While they preferred to keep themselves separate from the sentient beings of planets, it looked as though they could no longer do so. Ambassadors of the Royal Stars were appointed, workers from the Abyssal Stars equipped, and volunteers from the Black Stars all agreed to make contact with the clans of dragons that roamed Sornieth. They looked for host clans to help them grow their numbers back, safe nests for their hatchlings and strength in their forces. [b]Black Stars[/b] The oldest category of stardust dragons, Black Stars are believed to be the progenitors of the species. Rarely seen and terribly reclusive, Black Stars spend most of their time hiding within the deep recesses of space. There they blend into the dark nothingness of their worlds, living silently and with barely any trace. Black Stars are generally imperial dragons, as their massive size easily forms stardust into stars. Fallen imperial Black Stars become black holes in their emperor forms. Rogue Stars, as they are sometimes called are rare Dark Stars that have shed the elusive traits of their birth. They often integrate themselves into the company of Royal and Abyssal Stars alike, though they often suffer from a cultural gap. Black Stars typically mate with their own, but Rogue Stars take anyone for lovers. [b]Royal Stars[/b] Regarded as the noble members of the stardust dragon subspecies, Royal Stars make up most upper class within their cities and societies. They are the ambassadors and the treaty keepers amongst the stardust dragons, and generally assume high ranking positions in their host clans. Sociable and refined, Royal Stars are renown for their grace and standing. They do however often look down upon the Abyssal Stars, seeing themselves above the others. While mating amongst other Royal Stars is very strictly enforced, there are instances where love crosses the boundaries of their society. The most forgiving is a Royal Star and a Black Star due to the reverence that Black Stars are afforded. Abyssal Star and Royal Star couplings are heavily discouraged and could even cost an Abyssal star their rank if offspring is produced. Should coupling between a Royal Star and a Demi Star be found out, both dragons would be stripped of their status and considered Fallen Stars. This family had been presumed lost to the dangers of space, but when red colored dragons similar to themselves begun to appear on the fringes, attacking and marauding any they came across, the stories began. It’s commonly known that Blood Dragons would use any captured as blood sacrifices to some unknown being that they think even predates themselves, though most Blood Dragons that have entered back into societies no longer practice. Believed to have turned the color of crimson from the blood that soaked and tainted their violet scales, Blood Dragons are often seen as terrible threats to other stardust dragons. It is supremely rare that a Blood Dragon is ever allowed into modern stardust society, but since they too share the same threat as being attacked by the Shade more and more they’ve begun to make uneasy alliances in the clans they settle in. [b]Demi Stars/Fallen Stars[/b] Dragons that fall within the genetic range of the stardust subspecies but do not meet the exact requirements for a particular category are often referred to as demi stars or fallen stars. Both mean the same thing, but the context drastically changes. Demi stars are considered weaker half siblings to their closest category and often take on servitude roles, while fallen stars are treated as second class citizens. Often fallen star genetics are so far apart from any one category they find themselves outsiders among their own kind. Generally both types come about when offspring are produced between the categories. These dragons seek asylum within the clans of Sornieth, as opposed as act as ambassadors. Some Demi Stars may be accompanying a Royal Star as a servant, while Fallen Stars are wholly escaping their homeworlds. When you register a dragon as one or the other it’s very important you have a grasp of their history to help with your choice.

Introducing Bio Templates! Below is a sample and the coding for new bio templates for the stardust subspecies! If you've already coded your dragon's bio with a different code, that's totally fine! You do not have to use the coding below to still be registered. All dragons sold by Awaas however will have the coding already entered.

These templates are made using coding from @nimrook so it's important to not remove credit for these within the coding itself. Feel free to change up the rest of the info but link back to the subspecies using your registered dragon's banner where instructed.
