Her sole responsibility is to produce hatchlings of high value for the clan to sell. Though she could have a hatchling surrogate raise her offspring, she prefers to mother them herself, knowing full well that she will be heartbroken when they are sold. Aries (clan matriarch) prizes Lotus not just for her beauty, but for her ability. Lotus and her mate, Hemlock, are venomous, making their offspring highly sought after. The pair themselves are intimidating and Aries perceives them as her own personal weapon, ready to use them against rival clans, or members within her own clan that she wants to threaten.
