UPOmWo7.gifDetailed lore: FL/GHT's Origins

Ashe was once a top-of-the-line model created by Project as a field unit. Sent to investigate reports of suspicious activity at a junkyard, she found others who had been abandoned by Project - mainly those who were scrapped and left to die, as well as seeing firsthand the atrocities Project committed to stay at the top. Refusing to report her findings, Project decided she was defective and scrapped her as well.

Tryndamere was the one who found and repaired her broken body, and Ashe spent some peaceful time in the junkyard where she’d been dumped. However, Project soon sent more androids to investigate, and they had only one mission - to eliminate.

With Tryndamere at her side they fought back the androids once. It was only a matter of time before more would come, however, and knowing this, Ashe sought to win the other dragons at the junkyard to her cause - to no avail.

The second time Project sent an entire platoon of androids. The pair fought bravely, but were overwhelmed by sheer numbers, only to be rescued by the other residents of the yard. This eventually turned the tides completely in their favor, and the platoon was wiped out. Touched by the duo’s valiant efforts, these dragons later swore themselves to the cause as well, thus came the birth of the rebel group FL/GHT.

Notable Organizations

Project:

Once a humble robotics company, Project's first big breakthrough was the creation of a fully-functioning, multipurpose android that could take on numerous tedious tasks. Now they're a company that specializes in the creation of androids for various purposes, ranging from household automatons to combat-ready units. Project currently dominates the technological industry with their superior tech and advancements, particularly with their magitech.

However, they are known for their ruthless scrapping of androids the moment defects are found, simply because they do not believe in the sentience of androids, though they draw the line at harming actual dragons. Project's sinister inner ring, however, takes things to the next level - actively running experiments on live organic dragons, mainly to push the limits of cybernetics and their capabilities. This inner ring tends to eliminate all who stand in their way and consists of several key figures in positions of authority in Project - including the head scientist Jayce and the ambitious Selena, who has been rapidly rising through the ranks for her contributions to the breakthrough in magitech.

Unity:
Unity is an activist group that recently formed under the banner of Salvador, a former employee of one of Project's subsidiary companies. This company was abandoned and had its funding largely cut off after failing to meet profitable margins, though they tried to save it by continuing to create and test their own androids despite Salvador's protests. However, due to poor manufacturing, these androids later went rogue during a routine test-run, killing several innocent civilians. This sparked great controversy in the media, and opened Salvador's eyes to the truth - that androids were far more uncontrollable than one might think, and underestimating them could have deadly results.

Headed by Salvador and run largely by his second-in-command Sergius, Unity seeks to prevent the technological singularity - the hypothetical future where science has become so advanced that it becomes uncontrollable. To them, androids are uncontrollable, dangerous, and can easily replace organic dragons if allowed to do so. To this end, they conduct raids on labs/shops of android manufacturers while planting bugs within, or hold radio broadcasts advocating against androids - though their raids lean more towards the disruptive/destructive than FL/GHT's, which focus on the extraction of necessary resources.

Rogues
These outsiders pledge allegiance to none but themselves, and each has their own agenda. Each individual has their own story, but only time will tell as to what their intentions are.

Relentless, unpredictable, self-serving; Rogues work only for their own benefit. Some may call it justice, others argue it is nothing more than greed, perhaps the truth is somewhere in the middle - or maybe it is nothing more than pure insanity that drives these outcasts?

One thing, however, remains in common with those classified as Rogues - and that is their unpredictability with regards to FL/GHT.

FL/GHT comprises of 5 main factions: Rescue and Infiltration, Intelligence, Field Units, Diplomacy, and Medics.

Rescue and Infiltration
Headed by CIPHERexe and ERRORexe, who are FL/GHT’s best when it comes to getting into just about any system imaginable, with their ability to enter electronics and enter places from said machinery.

Rescue: In charge of securing the successful escape of dragons rescued from Project's clutches. They must be able to plan and have several escape routes ready in the event of a mission going awry, and are the only hope of getting their fellow FL/GHT members out alive and back home safely. Adaptable to sudden changes in situation and cool under pressure, their performance is usually what makes or breaks the mission. Must either have good knowledge of escape routes and/or be able to pilot getaway vehicles. Infiltration: In charge of getting into Project labs and penetrating their defenses. Stealth is a must for this subfaction, as it is essential for dragons in this group to sneak in successfully in order to locate dragons trapped in Project labs. Usually paired with field units when on rescue missions. They're also in charge of getting these dragons out of the labs safely until Rescue teams can take over from there.

Intelligence
FL/GHT’s network systems are vast, stretching to all four corners of the world and back. It took plenty of contact gathering to establish such an extensive reach, but RAM and ROM managed it all the same, now standing as the joint leaders of FL/GHT’s intelligence network.

Information: In charge of procuring information and securing contacts throughout Sornieth. Whether related to global news or Project's newest plans, this faction is the go-to for all the latest updates. Dragons in this faction must have an eye for detail and be able to keep FL/GHT constantly up-to-scratch in terms of reliable information, whether by establishing contacts from info-brokers, travelling Sornieth for a grasp of the local rumours, and be able to verify said information's accuracy. Spies: In charge of procuring any information regarding Project: new android lines, blueprints, locations of the various labs scattered across Sornieth, the like. These inside agents are planted within Project itself, and regularly report back to FL/GHT regarding any new information or new plans that Project is working on. In addition, they're also tasked with creating and relaying map layouts of the many Project labs to FL/GHT, for future use in rescue and infiltration missions.

Field Units
Headed by Ashe and Tryndamere, the two who first fought for their rights as artificially created dragons.

Headed by HA001 and HA002, masters of the art of negotiation. They work very closely with the intelligence faction and are usually known as the face of FL/GHT. They work tirelessly to forge new alliances and beneficial deals for the sake of the group. In addition, they are the ones who teach the rest of the artificially engineered dragons how to hone their social skills while continuing to analyze the behavior of dragonkind, for the sake of better understanding them, to help build better relations with their kind. They are trained and equipped with all the tools - whether technological or theoretical - to represent FL/GHT as ambassadors, even if some are delegated to the teaching tasks.

Medics
The caretakers of FL/GHT’s members, headed by Eir and Sigmund, who know better than anyone else Project's cruelty and the casualties left in their wake.

Engineers: In charge of repairing and fixing up androids brought in to FL/GHT. They have their own medical wing dedicated towards maintenance and repair work, and have access to the inventory of spare mechanical parts. They're the most frequent visitors to the junkyard where FL/GHT has rescued many a potential recruit, and often are escorted by field units on patrol when they go scavenging for parts. It was through him that they learned that there were others like him - frozen in ice, fused with the machinery that had kept them alive all these years, and FL/GHT agreed to keep a lookout for other cryoborgs in need of aid. Upon further investigation, he revealed Project had begun delving into the creation of homunculi, delighted at the idea of being able to create perfectly obedient artificial beings. The initial results were failures, as most of Project was opposed to using organic dragons for their creation, but Project's inner ring of scientists secretly conducted the experiments necessary to create proper, functional homunculi using organic dragon matter. For most part, Project creates sponge homunculi to soak up excess magic and take the strain off their own android's magical processors, or market royal homunculi to their richer clients. Wingless and wounded, on the run from their Effluvial cousins, FL/GHT found themselves hard-pressed to abandon the Lesser Crow in their time of need, and brought them back to base to give them proper medical attention. FL/GHT's team of medics successfully managed to recreate a pair of artificial wings to replace the ones that had been torn off, and in exchange the Lesser Crow agreed to stay on as a member of FL/GHT. Ever since then, FL/GHT has continued rescuing wingless Lesser Crows and nursing them back to health while creating new sets of mechanical wings for them. More often than not these Lesser Crows choose to stay with FL/GHT, and have been warmly welcomed as a part of the rebellion. Enter the queen of amalgamates, Rosa, who later explained what they were and that they were fleeing from Tox, a cruel dragon who disbelieved in the rights of androids and had few qualms about experimenting on dragons. FL/GHT then offered them shelter, seeing as Tox was a common enemy of theirs, and the two groups have enjoyed a healthy relationship since then. FL/GHT discovered the nest while making routine patrols, along with the frozen bodies of the lesser Starshrikes who had laid the eggs. Seeing as the hatchlings would surely die if left out in the freezing cold, FL/GHT took the eggs back to base for proper incubation. The lesser Starshrikes who hatched were then raised as a part of FL/GHT, although they eventually returned to the Aviary - mainly out of curiosity, having met other Starshrikes on their missions. Most of the older Starshrikes insisted they stay for proper training, much to their dismay, and eventually a meeting was arranged between FL/GHT and the elder Starshrikes. They reached a compromise - the Starshrikes FL/GHT had raised would stay for training at the Aviary, but would return should FL/GHT require their aid. In time, it became common for these Starshrikes to equip themselves with technology provided by FL/GHT so as to better enhance their potential, and other curious lesser shrikes came flocking to FL/GHT after seeing the unusual upgrades their brethren proudly wore. This resulted in a steady flow of shrikes flying between both groups, and a steadfast friendship soon formed. So, a big thank you to everyone for your interest, and for your patience! I have FINALLY finished the lore for FL/GHT(see: Archives section for links to full lore), and with the help and guidance of @RubyNS for storyplanning AND ALL THE GORGEOUS GRAPHICS, we've somehow completed this official thread!

I have decided to open the Archives section to feature select dragons and their related lore on the official FL/GHT page, so feel free to send in your dragons and let me take a look at em! This lore should be related to FL/GHT, such as how your dragon joined FL/GHT, what they do in the organization, so on.
PLEASE send me your dragons to be added to the registry formally, as there's just...too many of you for me to go digging in your lairs xD

I hope you'll continue to support FL/GHT, bring in new members and dragons, and most of all, enjoy your time here!
