Lights, camera, action!
All the world's a stage -
Leading role all the way,
Watch me go
I can be a maiden fair, an emperor fierce
A warrior, a wizard, a sorcerer dark

Dramatic, theatric and and hopelessly romantic!
Love stories, comedies, dramas
And tragedies
Plays and poems,
Declarations bold - epic sagas
Quiet victories
Bold and bright and full of light
Wind me up and watch me go!

When the curtains are drawn,
The stage deserted - the role undone,
A player on a stage no more.
Confidence wavers, tongues become tied

Woe! Lamentations! The trials of love!
And knowing what to say.
As shakespeare once said -
'Life's but a walking shadow,
a poor player that struts and
frets his hour upon the stage
and then is heard no more '

And the hour is long past -
May I find love at last,
And pen no more these monologues

There are no risks-
Only jests,
Quick timed banter between
Sword strokes,
Claw sweeps,
Crackling ice

What's a team without some banter?
Good natured insults,
Amused stares
The party that laughs together
Sticks together

Every risk is countered,
Calculated,
Efficient.
The plan is made,
Adapted, and stuck to.
She knows her game

What can be made
Can be unmade
Wounds can be closed
By the hands that caused them
A hammer can build a house - or smash a skull
And we are much the same

We all seek power,
In search of herbs and components
Found something greater
Fix the world - or break it
Living on the edge of a sword -
Deaths weigh heavy

There is a ghost on the shore
In the trees - barely glimpsed flicker
Leave the ruins where they lie
There is nothing left here
But memories
Tattered uniform flapping
In a gentle breeze

There are two sides to every coin
A start and an end of a cycle
Opposites, contrasts, links
There once was a god

There once was a god -
Brought life from death,
Turned that hand of time
Understood that both were the same

The other gods grew angry,
The cycle broken - dead had no right
To live again, no matter
The circumstances

And so they came,
And like Prometheus and his eagles
The god payed the price
Sixteen pieces,
Sixteen seals

Time passed on,
And sixteen pieces became seventeen
The whole became bigger
Time passed on
Experiences repeated -
But fate is not an absolute
And things may yet be changed

There once was a god
There is a god still-
Weaker now, but there still
Nothing is impossible

They say everything changes - nothing stays the same
Good times are fleeting, the bad are lingering
Another time, another place, another race
Different town, different game
Nothing stays the same

Conceal don't feel -
The whole before the part,
Everyone knows the pieces don't add up
An impostor, a traitor within this skin
Don't like what you see - so turn the mirror around

I am a reflection, a shell, a vessel your ideas will fill
One day I'm afraid you'll peal back my layers and find,
That there is nothing inside
I am a pretender
A ditto,
A mimic

Nothing stays the same,
and neither do I
