I started this thread to gain some inspiration to hatch a few eggs that I was super hesitant about hatching. "[i]What would I do without that extra 300G?[/i]," I thought to myself.
But then I made this thread just to gain some motivation and suddenly found so many fascinating stories about G1 hatches that I decided I needed a hatch worthy story of my own. And I got one! The very first hatch of 2019 was this boy and I have him now only because of the inspiration and beautiful stories that everyone shared on this thread. [center]

I think you have to see hatching an egg as treating yourself. Because it's fun! There's literally NO idea about what you're going to get. So you've got to shut that profit demon up if you want to do!!
I hatched a wind egg back in January and I'm pretty happy with her!! She's my current project baby :') I expect her to be done by the end of March!

You'll always be gaining something, if you found the eggs for free. It's just a matter of whether you'll gain what it's worth as fodder, or 250g-300g for the egg, or who even knows if it ends up being a double or with special eyes. You don't lose if it turns out ugly. You just don't win as much.

It's all about luck! I'd say 9 times out of 10 I get something less than ideal or just not really impressive
But man when you get that -1-...

You get a good one! He wasn't even that expensive to gene up! I love him and hatched him myself :3

I did a mass hatch recently and got not one, but two primals (
Gloom and
Gale). That's probably the most lucky I've been!
It is probably more profitable to just sell the eggs, but... it's just so much fun to hatch them! Even if you wind up getting something you don't like, you never know, it might be someone's dream dragon.

tinyvessels She's so perfect 0_0 that primary and secondary will set so well under the lighter tert <3 and you're right...I should lock up that crummy old demon for a while :3 Gotta hatch em all xD

sirspiderider Valid point! I used to be miserly earlier which is why I preffered the 250-300 in currency... but now that my lair is full of dragons I'm satisfied with, I don't think I have any reason to be xD

SkyTheArtist I LOVE tundras and I adore that color combination. That dragon is SO my lair aesthetic ^.^ Kudos on geneing him up!

Not a double or anything, but her colors work perfectly. She's one of my prettiest dragons.
