Bermondsey the Gracious
It all started with Bermondsey, millennia ago.

And the Wind didn't like that much.

One night, Bermondsey was on the stage again when the Wind descended. The angry Goddess sent the crowd flying, and, with the roar of the great ocean storms, placed a curse on the hapless dancer. She was condemned to an eternal life, to never stop dancing, and to forever wander aimlessly through time without end.

Coal, the fallen shadow king

Once upon a time, there was a well loved King Anthracite of the Seven-Seas Kingdom. Now there's only Coal. The story is simple: He saw her one day, the dancer of myth. He fell in love. He gave up everything he had ever known to follow her steps.

Then time stopped. His abandoned Kingdom and their inhabitants vanished. Some say they turned to dust, some swear to witnessing the Earth opening up and swallowing them in a cavernous valley, keeping them in its embrace, waiting for the King to return.

Ever since he was a hatchling, Beneth would hear whispering voices of the cosmos, of planets, stars, and broken debris floating through the vast void of space. Earthly beings would think him mute, but in truth, he is constantly engaged in heavenly conversations, humming soundless tunes to the stars as they tell him tales of everything that was, that is, and that will be.

It so happens that when the Dancer passed his residence, he saw in her follower not a morose, weary traveller but a great King, dark as the night but heart broken as stardusts. The stars told Beneth to stay by the King's side, and that he did, till this very day

Ninigi is the leader of the Sunlit Sentinels, who guard the Sunlit Spire. She is spirited and stubborn and will not take no for an answer once she's locked on to something she wants - whether that's a relic in a bargain, or her quest for answers. She travels often, as her adventuring spirit calls her to do, but in the end it's all for the service of her clan and their mission.

Eden is the leader of the Duskfall Coven, who study the Starlit Spire. He is a technomancer of sorts, and has augmented his body to better suit his needs. He may not be as stubborn as Ninigi but he is infinitely more calculating - his machinations will often come to fruition in ways even his clan can't expect.

Siel is one of the Empyrean Lords, the ancient group of dragons responsible for the construction of the towers. She symbolises the passage of time, and was a devout protector of both spires. One of the many mysteries the clans are trying to uncover is what happened to Siel, and indeed the other Lords, to cause them to leave behind such powerful relics to be lost to time.
