That dark crackle makes her look real swampy, hence her name. Magma dragons, I think they're called. This girl is....technically not a stormdancer, but she has the characteristic markings from her time in the stormclouds. The other actual Stormdancer I have with crackle isn't as pretty, and the pretty Stormdancer has gembond, so... She's one of my oldest dragons, along with Lorelei the florist. She just looks wrong without that crackle lighting her up in fiery red. I once had another crackle perma that was a female Fae with a sunset-gradient shimmer and obsidian crackle, so it looked like a silhouetted skyline with flying birds along the bottom of her wings. Unfortunately, she didn't make it through one of my lair purges so I can't show her off anymore. But I thought the effect was really cool. Crackle has some good uses. There are a few neat effects that just can't be done as well with any other gene that crackle is perfect for. It's definitely a tough gene at times, but when it's good, it's [i]good[/i] (imo)
