I think it depends on the coloring a bit but I've managed to get some really interesting crackles in my opinion. Yeah crackle is super hit or miss (mostly miss!), but I find that when it hits it [i]really hits[/i] for me haha This is (unfortunately) not a dragon I have atm, nor is it one that actually exists I think? But this is one of my dream dragons at the moment who I find to be absolutely gorgeous. For me it's all about the colors working together and not having the overall design of the dragon being too cluttered to look at. (too many varying colors + busy gene designs + a poorly matched crackle is just..... a nightmare to look at LOL) I find that I tend to like crackle more when it's subtle for sure, but having it pop out a little on his wings but blending into his body I find to be a nice balance.
