This disease is called the Shedding sickness because when infected, their scales and skin begin to peel off revealing the flesh underneath. If a dragon contracts this disease, their skin begins to shed off and sometimes mutate. Many weird things happen to a dragon with [i]exáplosi asthéneias[/i], usually causing them to reveal their skeletons or to have many strange scabs and wounds appear at random times. This sickness was one that has been created in a cult of dragons, trying to create a shade like disease that they could harness. To their demise, they failed and created an awful disease that spreads through the use of infected fluids, carried by certain dragons. These fluids are carried around by carriers, whom look like they have the capsule gene. This infected fluid is a mixture of their gastric acid, blood, and saliva, which all carry the disease. This plague is known to be notoriously painful, but it does tend to cause death in some dragons, usually to those who have an immunity to the plague. These dragons can still breed, but the hatchlings almost always end up contracting the disease or tend to carry it. Luckily, it does not spread by contact, nor does it spread to creatures other than dragons. These dragons are often unable to feel pain due to the lack of skin and and many nerves are torn or lost in the process. They also tend to grow an unnatural strength, allowing them to get through hard obstacles even with the virus. The disease has a magical factor as well, which gives a supernatural strength to the dragons. This magic keeps them surprisingly healthy as the disease will not cripple them. These dragons can still live normal lives, even with strange urges to peel their skin more or to spread the plague. They can still maintain their personality and they still stay conscious, even if the plague does change their mind some. But this is only for the lucky few. Many dragons actually give in the the plague wholeheartedly and the plague controls them. This gives them a special magical factor... This magical factor also allows them to preform different kinds of magic... [i]Dark magic[/i]. Every dragon with this disease has an instinctive bond to the surges of Dark Magic, but only those who give in to the plague can harness this.[/font][/color][/size][/indent][/columns] ----- [columns][size=5][color=530101][font=papyrus]Many dragons who give in to the plague search for a rare dragon they see as a master known as an [i]Alpha Kaprer[/i]. These dragons have the strongest link to dark magic and have the ability to control other multiple dragons at their will by invading their minds. They can only control dragons who have the plague and are spiritually bound to the leader through preforming a ritual that binds their minds to the magic of the [i]Alpha Kaprer[/i]. Many times when these dragons assimilate into the disease, they forget their names and anything about themselves and their information is all replace with new ideas like following a leader. These dragons go by code names, or just plainly their role. Many times the groups lead by an [i]Alpha Kaprer[/i] is called a [i]Cult[/i]. These [i]cults[/i] are known to get to be extremely large and very aggressive. If an [i]Alpha Kaprer[/i] finds another [i]Kaprer[/i] born in the clan, they usually kill them to prevent being over thrown, though there are rare cases that they actually control the other [i]Kaprers[/i] in the [i]Cult[/i] to help spread the boundaries of their control. Stay clear of these dragon unless you want to be killed, assimilated, or eaten! These dragons are horrid beasts that can kill on spot with their acid like mucus. The dragons who are the [i]Kaprer’s[/i] and the [i]Alpha Kaprer’s[/i] followers (well pretty much all assimilated dragons, even the Kaprers) are called [i]Weyrs[/i]. These dragons are known for their protective nature and are often guards. These dragons when assimilated are known to gain the ability to turn invisible and often become the assassins. Their razor sharp claws only seem to sharpen day after day, and have an unending sense of loyalty for their Kaprer. Around the foundation of a finished nest there is at least 2 snappers. These dragons are useful for their lack off needing constant feeding. These eyes do not see normal colors, but they see heat and shapes, this is extremely useful for hunting.[/font][/color][/size] [size=5][color=530101][font=papyrus]-[b]Multigaze[/b]: A well loved eye type. This eye type does not mean a whole lot to them, but it is extremely useful for guards to have.[/font][/color][/size] [size=5][color=530101][font=papyrus]-[b]Primal[/b]: A worshipped eye type amongst Weyrs. If a Weyrling hatched with this eye type, they believe that the Alpha Kaprer blesses them.[/font][/color][/size] [size=5][color=530101][font=papyrus]-[b]Dark Sclera[/b]: Another worshipped eye type. This eye type allows Weyrs to be able to see in the dark, which is extremely useful.[/font][/color][/size] [size=5][color=530101][font=papyrus]-[b]Glowing[/b]: The most despised eye type in all of Weyr history. This is a sign of unluckiness, and often death to the cult. These dragons are often killed immediately so not much is known about what these dragons can do.[/font][/color][/size] ----- [size=5][color=530101][font=papyrus]-[b]Goat[/b]: An eye type that is appreciated by the Weyrs though has no extremely useful purpose. It only wides their peripheral vision.[/font][/color][/size] ----- [size=5][color=530101][font=papyrus]-[b]Swirl and Innocent[/b]: Weyrs are very fond of this eyetype as they both have the ability to hypnotize those that look into their eyes.
