Thank you so much for taking the time to visit this thread! <3 If you're new here then you may be wondering... "what the heck is a Direwolf?" In real life they are an extinct species of wolf... In this version Direwolves are a dark-wolf themed subspecies that I decided to make cause I was bored and after looking at many amazing subspecies threads, I got inspired! {This is my first subspecies and I have no idea what I'm doing, so please bear with me!}
***Please note: Some variant descriptions and pieces of the lore are still a WIP, I hope to have these finished soon!

Physical Appearance
Direwolves are easily classified by their distinctive dark coats and they are almost always black, obsidian or dark grey in colour (with the exception of the Smokey-blue). Although they are of the Imperial breed, they tend to be closer to the size of a Gaurdian. This smaller size makes them weaker than most Imps in terms of strength. However, the smaller size makes them more maneuverable and agile.
..........................................................
Temperament
In general, Direwolves are highly intelligent - for better or for worse, there is always some sort of planning and calculating going on. Although Direwolves are very affectionate and loving towards each-other and even outsiders, Direwolves can quickly become quite aggressive and defensive when another dragon poses as a threat or becomes a nuisance. That being said, Direwolves are often bipolar and other dragons will soon learn that it is best to stay on a Direwolf's good side. Direwolves may be smaller than the average Imperial, but they are not a creature anyone will want to mess with.

Social
Direwolves are pack animals with an established dominance system. Most packs are very small and are made up of related individuals or close allies. Most packs consist of an alpha, a beta or two and possibly a delta. The average pack size is around 2 - 6 members, though there are definitely larger packs that hold far more members.
Dominance {Top = Most dominant, Bottom = Least dominant}
Alpha - Usually 1-2 per pack. Can be same or different gender. Not necessarily mates. {Level 20+ only}
Beta - Usually 1-2 per pack. Will often become the next alphas. {Level 10+}
Delta - Standard 'member' rank in a pack. {Level 1+}
Omega - The low ranking members. Often outsiders that the pack has adopted. Typically only found in larger packs {Level 1 +}
..........................................................
Hunting & Diet
A Direwolf's diet is primarily carnivorous. Although they will eat pretty much anything they can catch, most Direwolves prefer the quickest and easiest snacks.

Friendliness
.......................................................... Social
Direwolves are pack animals with an established dominance system. Most packs are very small and are made up of related individuals or close allies. Most packs consist of an alpha, a beta or two and possibly a delta. The average pack size is around 2 - 6 members, though there are definitely larger packs that hold far more members.
Dominance {Top = Most dominant, Bottom = Least dominant} Alpha - Usually 1-2 per pack. Can be same or different gender. Not necessarily mates. {Level 20+ only} Beta - Usually 1-2 per pack. Will often become the next alphas. {Level 10+} Delta - Standard 'member' rank in a pack. {Level 1+} Omega - The low ranking members. Often outsiders that the pack has adopted. Typically only found in larger packs {Level 1 +}
.......................................................... Hunting & Diet
A Direwolf's diet is primarily carnivorous. Although they will eat pretty much anything they can catch, most Direwolves prefer the quickest and easiest snacks.
