He came to reside in the lake found within my clan's borders after he swam up the Gladeveins to escape Maren poachers.

She's actually loosely based of a character, but I did dress her in sort of a sea/piratey theme.

Mirzam is more of the dark side of the sea than a merdragon. She's what they warn you about in the dark parts of the ocean.
I have a whole pirate themed hatchery! Check it out in my signature below, I just got some pretty pearlcatchers from the Captains pair.

My mermaid, named Siren, is part of my Oceans pair--her mate is a bumbling Snapper named Skipper, a first mate who fell in love with the aquatic angel the moment he saw her. Siren doesn't talk much, but she laughs constantly, and loves collecting trinkets do decorate her fins.

My favorite pirate (I have.... many) is definitely Calico! Part of the Captains pair, Calico, named after the famous real pirate captain Calico Jack Rackham, is a deft cartographer and a brilliant sailor. While his mate Silver (named after Long John Silver from Treasure Island) handles most of the more brutal aspects of a pirate's life, it is thanks to Calico that his ship and crew have amassed all the riches they have

Lila here's my [s]currently landbound[/s] pirate! She may have hatched in the Scarred Waste, but the little inlet of water at the southern border always called to her and her sister. However, her days soothing the ever-so-tempting mistress known as the great blue ended somewhat abruptly. Her sister had fallen ill, and for a time Lila turned more towards plundering pirate ships and coves to pay for treatment, neglecting her original job as a powerful trade ship that sailed between Iceflight and their neighbors across the sea. When it became apparent that her sister wouldn't be getting better, Lila let her sister sail on the finest ship she owned for what was assumed to be her last voyage before she began her journey into the void often known as death. She didn't know a monstrous shadow would connect the two journeys, robbing the pirate of a peaceful farewell to her dear sister as she was abruptly and cruelly torn from her life. The shock had been too much for the pirate, and she'd passed out long before she hit the nipping waves that froze wings and killed many a drake. When Lila awoke, her ship was in splinters on both coasts, some in Plague like her, others in the frigid floes of the Iceflight territories. Her memories had been robbed of her, but rumors told her that her sister had never returned, and the wreckage certainly said this was no iceberg or sudden act of nature. She needed a new ship, a crew, and plenty of supplies, and besides the odd Guardian that had awoken her, she was alone. She traveled with the Guardian into the Wandering Contagion to find the toughest drakes for her crew, but she never found them. Instead, she became lost in her own homeland, and to this day has yet been able to find a crew, supplies, or even the slightest hint of a boat, let alone the sea. She still acts like a bit of a pirate, but she hasn't sailed since. Some believe she's been cursed to be a landlubber for the rest of her days, never to recall exactly what happened in the deep blue sea...

Lila isn't the only landbound seadweller, however. Winter (who needs a bit of a makeover and a name change) is my current creature of the deep. She was a young Leviathan who actually disliked being disturbed, and often enjoyed peaceful nights reading beneath the waves at the cliffsides of the Windswept Plateau. She was an expert at maneuvering the smaller eddies that flowed between the tall outcroppings commonly called the Reedcleft Ascent, and was quite proud of her abilities. She was near Lila's ship when the incident occurred, and she was the one who chased the monster for a short time in an attempt to save who she'd thought was Lila at the time. She'd followed Lila before, often unnoticed as the pirate performed small raids on the side of her more decent trade between Iceflight and their neighbors just across the way, and had often protected her from other pirates and creatures that dwelled far below. She chased the beast for hours before ending up right back where she'd started, only to discover Lila stranded in the wreckage of her ship, unconscious. Winter had assumed that the stolen dragon had been some random crew member, and a rather unfortunate one at that. She took the sole survivor to the nearest shore, which happened to be a small strip along the bottom of the Scarred Waste. However, she felt she couldn't leave the pirate alone. She begrudgingly took on the form of a smaller dragon (compared to herself at least) and swore to guard the small Wildclaw. Neither are quite aware that Lila became her Charge, but Winter does everything she can to keep Lila lost on land, and hopefully far away from the sea. She fears the beast from before might have taken the wrong dragon that day, and is still searching for the captain that got away. She still feels guilty about the dragon that was stolen away, especially now that she knows she was Lila's sister. Lila may want vengeance, but Winter just wants to keep her safe and sound. If that means being stuck on the disease-infested land, then so be it.
Sorry this was so long! I just had a lot to say about these two, and Winter's lore still needs to be changed from when I got her from a friend. Their lore might become more interesting depending on where I move (I've been stuck between Ice and Shadow for some time now XD), but for now, here's my Leviathan as sweet as Ariel and my not-so-mean amnesiac pirate.
