Reclaimed Ruins dragons are inspired by archaeological structures and abandoned ruins that have been overgrown, and left to be reclaimed by nature. first appeared on the outskirts of the Sunbeam Ruins, where the Gladekeeper's reach had spread beyond her territory, claiming back the land that once belonged to the plants, but was built over by societies again and again. These dragons are a result of the tension between natural and dragon-made structures, a representation of the ongoing war between the earth and its inhabitants.
Ruins dragons tend to be fiercely protective of the environment, though they do not mourn its loss to technology, certain that nature will reclaim her territory in the end. They are determined historians, keen to preserve memories of past mistakes and achievements alike. They are averse to bloodshed, which can damage both cultural and natural heritage, and will avoid taking lives when possible. They prefer peaceful professions.
Ruins dragons are reticent to leave the ruins from which they are born, but some do travel, often adopting the name of the ruin they came from in order to preserve its memory.

Magical Ruins dragons are much like the main subspecies, but the spiritual and arcane energy that has been imbued in the ruins they are born in has impacted them, and as such they contain an incredible amount of magical power. They do not like to use this power, as they are fully aware of the potential consequences, but it is important that you never get on their bad side, as their wrath is known to be destructive. Many magical ruins dragons have even caused the creation of ruins from which more of their species are born.

Technological Ruins dragons are born from overgrown industrial sights, representing the continuous growth and expiration of technology. They are a byproduct of the original ruins dragons travelling to different flights, in particular that of Lightning and Arcane. These dragons do not live in the past as much as their forebears, and are cunning scrap-metal engineers. They do not like to work with the newest technology, but often have a thorough understanding of engineering which has since been left behind. They love to recycle!

We've finally been able to launch the hub for our Reclaimed Ruins subspecies! Helped by the birth of a hatchling from my two dergs :') comment to be added to a pinglists, or with suggestions of subvariants and lore, or just to discuss! I hope you're as excited as we are.
I'm hoping to get breeding pairs for technological and main variants at least, and then go from there.

This is Chenoble. I haven't gotten around to writing his lore yet, but he emerged from a biochemical testing factory in the plague region; an accident left everyone exposed to the virus they were experimenting with, and no one survived. Chenoble himself was a scientist, but he doesn't remember that period - he was buried underneath the rubble of the lab as it began to crumble. During one of the gladekeeper's attempts to take Plague territory, nature overtook this abandoned outpost and Chenoble was resurrected with her magic! He doesn't remember his old life, but many of the others are still wary of him, thinking he carries the disease that killed him. He plays on it a little because he's bitter, but the people closer to him know he's a bit of a softy.
