My boy William here was hatched in my sister's lair (she let me have his parents stay there while i made room, but then said shed breed em for me...) he looked like a perfect light rep kinda boy. (he had almost pure basic minus ripple primary) but then, le tert. sure it matched his eyes...but he looked like a lil light boy. (to underline btw, i was in light at le time...another reason i wish i had let his parents actually nest in my lair) The best i have been able to do...is spines. i hope one day a tert will come out that'll be both subtle, and bring out yellows. till then he'll still be my favorite boy ever.

Then runes came out. The pink actually gives it a really nice touch! Plus his nails are officially fabulous now.

She's a Christmas dragon though! Red, green n' white(ish).

Oh I had a hard time picking the dragon with the most unfortunate tertiary, that worked out the best!

Backstory:
Back in the day I couldn't care less for tertiaries. Circuit and Gembond were the only two genes, and I don't like Circuit, and while Gembond is alright, I didn't feel like slapping it on all my dragons.
Before Flight Rising started, I had a bit of an idea of what I wanted to get for dragons. I wanted to get an orange green dragon named Pumpkin (check!), a Plague-aligned furred dragon named Puffball (check) and a green and pink dragon named Dragonfruit. And that is how I stumbled on this little girl, back when she was still a freshly hatched Guardian. Blue was unfortunate, but with no plans to add an actual tertiary gene, it didn't matter to me.
Later it started gnawing on me, that she didn't have a tertiary gene that would fit her well. But then, one magical days, the staff released Poison and Toxin. Luck had it, the accent colours of both Jungle and Magenta are hues of blue. Jungle's accent and Blue even match perfectly well!
And that, my gentle dragon-folk, is how Dragonfruit unfortunate tertiary was saved!

I think the best example of this in my lair is Ramune. Cream/Buttercup/[i]Radioactive[/i]. How the heck do you make something like [i]Radioactive[/i] work with a perfect pastel boy?

in this case, it's her secondary color that kills it for me but I loved her primary and tertiary colors/genes too much to let her go so I exalted her :)
