Did you ever feel watched and followed whenever you set foot into the [i]Wispwillow Groove[/i]? Did you ever fall asleep asleep in the [i]Driftwood Drag[/i] and woke up missing all your valuables? If so, then you might have your fair share of experience with these mischivious critters already! The Shadowcats are a proud race of hunters and masters of disguise in their homeland, the [i]Tangled Forest[/i]. They love to play tricks on any adventurer or wanderer they cross paths with and althought small, a group of these feral creatures might cause some serious damage. But groups are very rarely to be found, since they prefere to be loners most of the time. Only during the month of the [i]Trickmurk Circus[/i] nearby Shadow-cats come together to honor the Shade and their holy deity the [i]Shadowbinder[/i] by spreading a mix of laughter and chaos among the lairs they come by. The Shadowcats descended from an ancient race of Cat-dragons that origed from [i]Dragonhome[/i] wandering into the realm of Shadow centuries ago and over time adapted to their surroundings. Their bright cyan and aqua pattern on their dark, shadowy fur is the perfect camoflage between the glowing mushrooms of the the [i]Wispwillow Grove[/i] where they preferably live. [/columns]

What do they look like?" [/b][/Center] [color=#720385] This, my friend, is an [i] excellent[/i] question! Shadowcat's are known for their camoflage specifically adapted to the Wispwillow Grove! They [b]always[/b] have a [i]Jaguar & Rosette[/i] pattern, reaching from [i]purple to nightshade[/i] as well as a tertiary variation of [i] Glimmer, Firefly, Opal or rarely Runes[/i] in [i] Cyan, Robin and Aqua[/i], even though any shade of light/bright blue is fitting. Most prefered are XXY-Combos, but since the colors are close to each other, any dragon fitting those discriptions is welcome~ [Center][color=#50005C][b] "Wait, Wait, Wait Dragons? Weren't we talking about cat's??"[/b][/Center] [color=#720385] Well, yes and no. We are talking about dragons indeed, but from their behaviour, social structure and movement they are so similar to cat's, that they are basically the cat's among dragonkind! A shadowcat is usualy very flexible and agile, which makes it very reasonable, that it is usually a small breed of dragon. Like [I]Faes[/i] it's very unlikely to see another breed classified as a Shadowcat. Even though these creatures are not very picky about their mates, only the offspring born as a Fae will be of the Shadowcat-kind. [Center][color=#50005C][b]" Not very picky? So if the colors and breed fit, they could be born anywhere?"[/b][/Center] [color=#720385] Uhhmm, not really... They sure can wander beyond the borders of the Shadow Realm, however, what makes them so special is their ability to be almost invisible in their natural habitat. While the eyes of Shadowcat's born in the Realms of [i]Shadow, Lightning, Water and to some extend Ice[/i] will still guarantee their camoflage, any other color of eyes might betray them in their surroundings. But instead of telling you all that, why don't i just show one to you already? Though she's not a dragon of many words, she is willing to share some of the customs and tales of her species by allowing her offspring to spread trough Sornieth, spreading the name of the Shadowcat's. There, I think we got the most important characteristics down right! If you see a dragon in your lair fitting these discriptions, don't be shy to post it here and let it be registered as an official shadowcat!
