here he is, my favorite dragon of all time, [b]ruby![/b] i bought him shortly after i joined and he's slowly but steadily grown to where he is now, holding the position of my favorite and my avatar dragon. the new apparel the light festivals gave us certainly did help with that!
from his name, it should be fairly obvious why i picked him, haha. he came prenamed, but i liked the name so much i kept it, and i feel like it definitely influenced the way i wrote his lore - the guy's prideful, delusioned and narcissistic. not that i blame him, though, looking like that!
whenever someone claims gembond is a bad gene, he's the one i use to prove them wrong.

next is [b]eataine![/b] apologies for the triple-basic-ness; i haven't gotten around to getting his genes yet, but i will be doing so very soon. either way, i suppose his apparel is what made me choose him - rather than a gem thief, however, he's a gem merchant.
i haven't written his lore yet, either, but like i said, he's a merchant; the clan's head merchant, in fact, mainly dealing in valuable objects such as... well, gems. the idea for his outfit was mostly spurred from my frustration at not being able to work in the gem thief piece with my earth rep somehow, so i tried to make the perfect outfit around it - he's missing a few pieces still, but i'd say i succeeded!

last is [b]cranky![/b] [s]named after one of my favorite artists[/s] this guy was a gift from back when my sister still played this game - he's the grandchild of two other dragons in my lair, haha. i tried to work that into his lore by having him be from the tangled wood, but hearing about the clan from his family there, so...
anyways, i fell in love with this guy the moment i saw him! i strive to make hated genes and colors look nice, and thistle crystal works wonders, it seems. i seriously don't know why i love him this much, but... i do. i'm planning to get him capsule soon! like eataine, this guy's a merchant who also deals in gems - however, this boy sells magical items and artifacts, so if he offers you an age-old jewel... check for curses, first.
also, crystal and facet are a thing too, haha.

First is going to be the dragon that inspired me to make my Desert Diamonds subspecies: Prince! Under all of his royal apparel is a gorgeous crystalline coatl, who resembles me of several different gemstones.~ First and foremost he reminds me of yellow diamonds, but his colors remind me of both polished and rough citrine. His paler wings also remind me a little of peach topaz!

Last but definitely not least is my first gemstone themed dragon I've bought when I started playing: Spectrolite! And like her name suggests, she is straight out spectrolite (also known as labradorite)! This absolutely gorgeous gemstone is also one of the few gemstones mined in my home country, which makes this stone even more special to me. Spectrolite is my absolute favorite gemstone!
