welp this is gonna take a while
The Ancient One - Lived on another world before his planet started dying; the lone survivor and one of the oldest dragons living in Sorneith to date; he has seen things that would break ordinary dragons
The young one - She is surprisingly strong for how young she is, and has taken it upon herself to save her friend, allowing no one else to help her
The progenitor (my progen isn't a part of the lore right now so I'll use the leader for this) - He is the stalwart leader of his clan and is as determined as you can get to protect every member from every danger imaginable. (Imagine his anger towards Saphira for not allowing him to help with her quest)
The traitor
and the friend
She was in the wrong place, wrong time. They don't understand that she had nothing to do with the missing eggs, but they jump to conclusions just because of her...abilities. The only ones who believe she didn't do it are the clan leader and Saphira. If the others refuse to believe she didn't do it, she will be evicted from the clan and forbidden to come back.
Characters for this little lore story, K?

Illusion the progenitor, Oak is the Ancient one, Thunderbird is the traitor/friend and Saphira is the young one
The ancient one looked down at the young one with a mournful expression on his face. He moved slower than the others due to the long marks down his rear leg, and slowly settled into a crouch as he began to tell his tale.
"She had gotten herself into a big problem, that one. She closed herself off from the other dragons and refused to tell the others about her past. No one knew what had caused her to leave her previous home, and they were instantly suspicious of her. She didn't bother hiding her mage-like abilities, and instead seemed to taunt the others with them, as if daring them to stand against her. As you know, she is slow to use words, and at first her voice sounds bitter and harsh, both from what she experienced so long ago and from lack of use. She is slow to trust from what she went through, and so she closes herself from everyone else, and, like what she did with you, she pushes those who want to befriend her away with such force that only a determined young one like you would keep trying to make friends with her.
From what I saw of the incident, she was handling the eggs, weighing them with her claws and looking at the similarities and differences between eggs, when a loud noise startled her." He shifted closer, nearly whispering as he spoke.
"The land of the forgotten is so named because it disappears for years at a time, preventing anyone from truly realizing that it is more than an illusion. At that time, the grounds were visible, and a young one from another clan was poking around to investigate the shrouded lands. Well...needless to say...he got to close and found himself in the nesting grounds. He thought he found something extraordinary, so he grabbed a few eggs and ran off with them. Thunderbird was shoving the egg in her bag so she could race after the thief when another clan member arrived and saw her shoving the egg in her bag. Instantly on guard, she raised the alarm and blamed Thunderbird when she realized that some eggs were missing from the nests. Seeing as how that happened about a month ago and its just now causing Thunderbird to get in trouble...the gossip dragons have apparently twisted the tale into something it originally wasn't and never will be."
Sensing the young one's question, he said, "I don't believe Illusion would be able to do anything about it since he'd believe me, and you'd believe me, but would everyone else? Nope."
Saphira eyed the floor and wilted slightly, her wings falling and hitting the ground roughly while her tail, which had been twitching throughout the story in irritation of Oak's roundabout way of storytelling, stopped suddenly and twisted around her claws.
"Don't despair, young one. I'm sure you'll find a way to help Thunderbird. She is too proud to ask for help so you are her only hope."
"Thank you, Oak." She said sadly. Her wings and tail dropped and she bowed her head mournfully as she twisted around and slowly walked out of Oak's cave.
