Hello, I adopted a dragon a little bit ago not realizing he was part of a subspecies.

@FelinaeFatale This project has a self-editing pinglist! You can add yourself using the Google Spreadsheet I linked on the first page of the thread. If you aren't able to use Google Docs, I can add you though. :)
@Stratosphere Oh hello, welcome! Thanks for adopting that Coatl boy, and his hatchlings are cute! The double Sand baby does qualify for the subspecies, but the second hatchling's tertiary is just barely outside the allowed range. He could still be useful as breeding stock, though!
You can determine whether hatchlings are eligible for a subspecies by comparing them to the requirements listed in the first post of the thread. They're one of the allowed breeds (Bogsneak), have permitted genes (Skink, Spinner, Capsule), they have the right eye color (Lightning and Earth are both allowed), and one of them has permitted colors (Sand and Spruce).

Ok! Thank you for letting me know! I really like your subspecies, I'm glad at least one is eligible. But, what's breeding stock? O: like potential breeding partner for eligible dragon? XD Sorry, I'm still learning!

@Stratosphere No worries, I'll add you now! :) And yeah, breeding stock just means potential partner for a Cryptic Caveguard. Most CCs bred with your hatchling would meet the color requirements, although he looks SO MUCH like one that I'm considering shifting the tertiary color range by one color to include his tert. It's really teal with most genes, which was the effect I wanted.

Well they are a beautiful subspecies. I honestly can't wait to breed my Coatl and bog again. I'm highly tempted to keep my little guy with the one tert off to breed with a future CC.

@Stratosphere I'll have some CCs to sell soon, actually! I've got a Coatl pair ready to hatch a single egg, when I get the lair space, and a WC pair sitting on a nest of three. I'd suggest checking the breeding eligibility of your hatchling against any of my dragons, though. The WC pair are double Sand and double Copper respectively, and a lot of the dragons with those colors are related to each other!
