This area is commonly avoided by those who live in the Windswept Plateau, as they know the dangers of the area. Those who don't, however, might wonder too close and get ambushed by the danger itself: the Sky Tigers. These feroucious descendants of the skydancers differ greatly from their ancestral species. Their appearance is calming with their pale fur and feathers, but don't be fooled. Their appearance and colors are actually a tool to blend in with the clouds. All you might see before getting jumped is a pair of green eyes staring at you trough the mist. Sky Tigers diet consists mainly of insects that live in the area, greatly preferring larger and harder to hunt targets, but it is not uncommon to see them hunt birds too. They are skillful and fierce hunters, and no insect or bird ever gets away from them. This behaviour is also seen in combat, and an experienced Sky Tiger in a fight is a force to be reckoned with. Unlike the Skydancers, Sky Tigers prefer brawn over brains, and rarely pay any thought for magic or tactics. Sky Tigers prefer to live in small packs of two to four individuals, and their territorial behavior usually keeps unwanted company far. While their behavior greatly differs from Skydancers otherwise, there is one thing they have in common. As Skydancers, Sky Tigers too are dedicated parents, and defend their offspring with their life. The most dangerous place in the Windswept Pleateu must be around a newly hatched Sky Tiger nest, as eventhough you wouldn't see the parents around, you can be sure they will be guarding their babies. Sky Tigers first came to be several thousands of years ago. Among the peacefull Skydancers there were troublemakers, black sheeps. Despite any efforts to calm their angry spirits, these individuals kept attacking their tribesmates and even their family, and thus was forced to exile and expelled from their clans. These individuals eventually found eachother and formed their own clan, dedicated for revenge on the ones that cast them out of their home. Despite of many efforts, their revenge was always denied from them, as their numbers were greatly smaller than those of the Skydancers. In time this thirst for revenge turned into terratorial behaviour and general aggression, and the castouts evolved into their own species, the Sky Tigers. Known as the Firstborn among Sky Tigers, there was a specific couple who were considered as the father and mother of the species. A male, Njordr, and a female, Skadi. These two dragons gave birth to the first official Sky Tigers, and started it all for this species.
